I cut the engine of my 2000 Volkswagen Beetle and pulled the keys from the ignition, yet I remained inside of the car as I stared at the large open door of the plant before me. It's years of abandonment not doing it well. Finally I sighed and climbed out of the car.

As soon as my feet touched the ground, my thoughts were flooded with memories. I wrapped my arms around myself as I walked up to the factory. I sighed as I took a hesitant step inside. Memories slammed my mind as I turned around and around, glancing at everything in what was the old living room. I go and stand in the middle of the large concrete couch and chairs, instantly struck with a memory.

************

"Hey (Y/N), are you ready yet? I want to get this going!" Ironhide yelled. I sighed, still in my room. I was starting to regret showing the Autobots Ghost Adventures. I usually don't scare easily, but some of the episodes left me terrified at night and I couldn't sleep.

"Coming Hide!" I hollered. grabbing my anxiety blanket. Out in the living room, Ironhide, Dino, and Sideswipe occupied the couch. Bee was in one chair and Optimus the other. Ratchet actually wasn't into this kind of stuff so he turned in early for the night.

"Ready for this scaredy cat?" Hide smirked as he pressed play. Bee gave me a sympathetic look, bent over in the chair and offered me his hand. I stepped onto his palm and he sat up before leaning back and setting me down on his chest. I curled up over the warmth of his spark, and he placed a comforting and protective servo over me as the show started.

************

I smiled weakly as I graced my fingers over the concrete side. I felt tears prick the back of my eyes but I refused to let them spill over. I turned away and made my way down the hall to the bedrooms. The very last room on the right had been mine for safety reasons in case the factory was ever attacked. Most nights I slept in Bumblebee's room anyways. I think that he actually preferred me to stay in his room because then he could protect me in my vulnerable state. Optimus and Ironhide's rooms were the first two rooms on either side of the hall, the it was Ratchet, Bee's and my room after Optimus' and Dino and Sideswipe after Hide's room.

I didn't stop at any of the room's until I reached Bee's room. I froze in the doorway, gulping back the tears as I made my way further into the room. As I did, a heaviness made it's way into my chest,, making me feel as though I couldn't breathe. I stopped beside my bed in the back left corner of the room. My old bed was neatly made, a few stuffed animals resting back against the pillows. One in particular cause me to nearly erupt into tears.

Bee had gotten it for me one time when I was extremely sick. It was a stuffed Bumblebee. A smile formed on my lips as I remembered the moment.

************

Another coughing fit racked my body. Sweat covered every inch of me; my body which ached relentlessly. I just wanted to sleep, but my throat was dryer than rocks, and I constantly felt like I wanted to throw up. The Autobots went to patrol, deciding that if they all went they would cover more ground quicker. But I was left at the base alone. Ratchet had offered to stay, but I insisted that he go. I faked being fine even though I was almost positive by the gleam in his optics that he knew I was far from fine. He didn't push it though.

I was definitely worse now than I was hours ago when they had left. While I more than likely really needed to contact Ratchet, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I didn't want Ratchet, anyways. I wanted Bumblebee. His presence in general was like medicine. I just felt better in every way with Bee; safe, happy...loved. I groaned as another fit of coughs shook me. It wasn't long after the coughing ceased that I felt the all too familiar sensation of vomit rising up my esophagus.
