Suffering (Optimus Prime)

I coughed, an unsettling feeling of vomit rising in my esophagus. Swallowing it back down, I sat up and groaned. I felt like shit, but I almost always felt like that nowadays. It was hard to differentiate between a normal day and when I am actually sick. Everything that I've seen, that I've been through. I swung my legs off of the bed and leaned forward, running my fingers over my face and sighing, trying to shake the nausea I felt. Once the feeling finally passed I stood up and grabbed some clothes to change into after a shower. I picked out a pair of washed out jean shorts and a white flowing dressy tank top with a navy blue collar.

I grabbed a towel and headed to my shower, making the water a nice steamy hot. I stripped out of my PJ's and stepped in the shower, cringing at the temperature of the water but immediately relaxing as the water pounded against my aching muscles. After I washed my hair and scrubbed my body, I allowed the water to hit and run down me, soothing my aching body and giving me temporary relief. Finally I turned the water off and rubbed my body dry with the towel and wrapped my hair up in it. I got dressed, sliding on my underwear and shorts, then a bra and finally pulling on the white tank top and buttoning it up.

I pulled my hair out of the towel and grabbed the can of mousse and shook it. I put mousse in my hair and played it into my hair before grabbing the hair dryer and blow drying my hair. After a few minutes it dried with natural waves. By the time I pulled on socks and my western boots I was feeling sick all over again. But I pushed it aside, popped a few nausea pills and left my room to walk out onto the base. I headed over to the barn where the horses were so I could start mucking out stalls.

As the sun rose in the sky and I got closer to being done cleaning stalls, I began feeling worse and worse. Soon, I was sitting down inside of one of the horses stalls slumped down in one of the corners. I was just so exhausted and sore and felt like throwing up. Ironically, the horse was in the stall, the door was wide open, but the horse stayed right beside me, neck down sniffing me and making sure I was okay. He was one of my favorite horses to exercise and take care of. He was so sweet, all black except for a white star and three white socks.

His name was On Tap aka "Taps" and he was a retired show horse of all disciplines. He was the best horse here in my opinion. He stood over me, watching. Nuzzling me and nickering softly.

"I can't move Taps, I'm not well." I mumbled, my eyes closed, but I used all the strength I could to lift my hand and reach out to him. Which he placed the soft velvet of his muzzle in. I cherished the comfort he was providing. My hand dropped and I opened my eyes. "Taps..." I trailed. Through narrowed eyes I looked into his, hoping with everything that he understood what I was about to say. I couldn't hold on much longer, I knew that I was extremely sick. I should've gotten Ratchet when I first woke up. "Get Optimus. Please, get Prime. I need him." Then I blacked out.

************

After (Y/N) blacked out, Taps backed up, looking out of the stall door, wide open. He took one more step towards the unconscious girl on the ground and nuzzled her, getting no response back. He freaked out, releasing a shrill neigh and pawing the ground. Then he charged out of the stall and down the corridor, running wild through the base. His nostrils dilated, eyes wide and looking crazed, the only thing on his mind was to help his girl. He charged down the base towards the Autobots hangar. Flying into the base, he scared the crap out of a few soldiers standing nearby. He snorted, shook his head, pawed the ground, then reared. Anything to get them to understand that something was wrong with his girl.

Major Lennox rushed down from the platform with which he had been conversing with Prime. Prime Looked down, surprised at the new creature in the building.
