"Do you see him yet?"

"No. Not yet. But hey, if he did end up ditching you, I see some pretty good eye candy from here." Elizabeth giggled as she scanned the house, which was swarming with numerous types of characters, "I mean, just look at all these people! I can't believe we showed up here just for you to potentially sleep with one guy. Is he that unattractive to the point where he couldn't find at least one person here and had to invite someone else?"

I sighed at my best friend's blunt comments. I loved Elizabeth to death, it's just that I don't think she understood the whole premise my open relationship with this guy.

"Is that your way of saying you'd prefer to be home right now?" I challenged her.

"Oh, hell no. I'm just saying that I wouldn't really think there would be a need for outside sources when you're at a party as massive as this."

"Even though Cam and I are in an open relationship, we still have a certain amount of commitment to each other." I explained as we merged ourselves farther in with the crowd of people, "It may not be your classic relationship where we say 'I love you' and all that complicated stuff in order to avoid that whole headache, but we still do enjoy seeing each other as often as we can as compared to having to pick up someone random."

"So, it's like fucking without the feelings?" Elizabeth questioned while continuing to look where she was going.

"Exactly."

"I'll never truly understand you in that. I don't know how you can be so emotionless when it comes to a relationship, but good for you. He's really hot; I'd just hate the idea of having to share someone as pretty as him."

I shrugged, "You just get used to it after a while. It's not like he's the one I'm gonna marry or anything like that, so what's some fun to pass the time?"

She offered me a smile before turning back to look ahead, face lighting up as she recognized someone, "Cam! Where have you been? We were beginning to think you'd ditched."

Cam looked amazing as always; dressed in a green bomber jacket, with a black tee-shirt, and light blue jeans. Which all somehow managed to compliment the smile he was also wearing as he made his way over to us.

"You guys? Never. Especially not after telling Sarah to be here." He stood with the both of us continuing to smile, "I'm not that much of a dick."

Elizabeth just gave him a small smile while continuing to scan the room. She obviously didn't listen to a word he just said and wasn't engaged in the conversation in the slightest.

"Alright. You kids have fun. I'm gonna go talk to that guy waving me over, he's gorgeous. Stay safe!" She shied away from us, clearly much more interested in hitting on some guy than us.

"You too, don't do anything stupid!" I called out to her, sighing as she just waved me off from a distance.

"At least you didn't say 'don't do anything I would do'." Cam quipped as I turned my attention back to him.

"Yeah. I think you're the only person I'm gonna do tonight." I shot back before putting my hand on my chin, faking contemplating something, "Unless..."

"Yeah, yeah. I get it." He held his hands up, half-amused by my retortion, "Is that really something you'd want to try sometime though?"

"Maybe? It really depends." I explained as I lowered my hand.

"Well, tonight it'll only be you and I," He flashed me a smile, "Sorry to disappoint."

"You'll do." I returned his smile, "Hey, instead of just standing here talking like we don't know what to do with ourselves, let's get a drink."
