It was the day before Easter and Id created hiding spots for the chocolate eggs to go. The question was. Who did bring the chocolate and hide them. I know that its animal of sorts. Maybe it was a little puppy, but puppies eat everything so then it must have been a cat. A BALLERINA CAT! Awesome, but cats would knock down all of the lamps so it wasnt a cat.
Maybe it was the giant rats from the attic, but we got chocolate. Not Cheese! It could have been a donkey, but there werent hoof prints, there were paw prints so it wasnt a horse or donkey or cow or sheep.
Maybe it was the penguins from the zoo across the road? I decided that guessing wouldnt help. On the night before Easter I slept where all the eggs always got hidden and I tried to stay awake all night. I could feel my eyes fluttering closed when I heard the gentle thuds of padded feet moving around in front of me. I opened one eye and saw him. The Easter bunny!
I had been completely wrong! It wasnt a dog or a cat or a horse the rats from the attic or the penguins from the zoo. It was a bunny with a basket. It was the Easter bunny! I closed my eyes and the bunny placed an egg in my open hand before leaving the house. I ran around the room and collected all of the eggs in a basket before sitting them beside my makeshift bed and falling asleep.
