The World is Ending

Chapter 2

Flashback

It was summer and you decided to hang out on the school’s roof during recess. You won’t eat the lunchbox your mom prepared as you’re getting sick of reading her texts, the same thing over and over again. You sighed and lied down. It’s been a month since the bullies started attacking you and you can’t stop reading the message your bestfriend sent you right after that incident. It sounded like this:

      Subject: none

      From: Maya

                 I am not your bestfriend anymore. Don’t talk to me or even reply this message.

“A lame excuse to avoid being involved in my situation. ‘Bestfriend’ my ass.” You murmured. You stared the screen for so long till you noticed a shadow casted over you. It was so bright that you couldn’t see the face of the figure standing in front of you. You got up and squinted your eyes.

“You…..you’re that new transfer student. What do you want?” You asked in a low voice.

“Nothing.” He smiled. You noticed him staring your eyes for quite some time.

You kept quiet for a while. “Hisami isn’t it?” you paused. “Don’t get involved with me.”

“Why? Just because you got bullied?” You clenched your fist and gritted your teeth. This guy is annoying. You stood up immediately and left the roof. What’s wrong with that guy? You asked yourself.

Later that day, you decided to go to the convenience store after school. On your way there, you saw Twelve(Hisami) with a guy wearing spectacles at the park. Then you hid in the bushes to investigate their further actions. It seems that they’re plotting something and it’s not good. You flinch at the moment when Twelve glanced at your direction. He suddenly walked towards your hiding spot and you got nowhere else to run.

“I see you, [name]~ ♫” he bowed down and smiled at you. “Let’s blow some things up and have fun!” he continued. Is….is he serious?
