My Mother - My Angel
The purest love in all the world
Is that of mother and child,
The sweetest woman alive - O mother!
Thy name is sacrifice.
You are the embodiment of love,
Of all that is pure and good,
The epitome of self-sacrifice,
You're the essence of womanhood.
As Mother Earth you give and provide,
As Goddess Mother, you forgive with a smile,
The Mother Nature feeds us aplenty,
The Motherland gives us an identity.
You're a child's refuge,
A teenager's friend,
An adults pride,
Your love knows no end.
You gave me all you had, and more,
You stayed awake so I could sleep;
You have no parallel in this world,
Mother - your selfless love is all I need.
