I heard a couple of screams as I was running and that just made me run faster and faster. I could not stop running until I saw him… He was tied up to a tree and no one else was around him. I started to walk up to him but he tried to stop me. He had sticky tape over his mouth so he couldn’t talk but what I heard sounded like he was trying to say stop.
I stopped. I looked around and no one was there so I kept walking towards Dom. When I reached him I undone the piece of sticky tape around his mouth, then undone his hands and legs. I gave him a big hug and he returned the hug. But to break the hug he whispered into my ear, "Amelia, run. Now. Go!" Instead of a whisper he finished what he was saying in a yell. I tried to ask him why but he was pushing me to go away. I started running away from him but then I fell to the ground.
I tried to move but I couldn’t. I was tied up. I couldn’t even move my head around to look anywhere, is all I saw was the green grass of the gardens. Then the grass disappeared and I saw Dom in front of me. "DOM!" I tried to scream but realized that I couldn’t. "Its okay Amelia. Nothing is going to happen." He said. Something was wrong, awfully wrong. Why hadn't Dom helped me? Just as I thought something was happening, Dom turned like himself instead of being all serious, and he dropped to the ground and started untying me. When he finished I layed there just waiting for someone to come and help us but I think we were already saved. I looked away from Dom and stared at the sky. Dom lifted me up and hugged me. I soon hugged back, but the way that he was hugging me was well I guess, protective - like. He let go of me and looked me in the eye.
"Dom." I whispered. "What's going on?" "You tried to save me and the kid napper attacked you to the ground, and tied you up. Then straight away I came over here and the he ran off straight away. I noticed he dropped his phone so I picked it up and rang the cops. Then they came and found us and they just left then." He replied. "Oh. Dom why are you so… different?" I asked. "What do you mean Amelia?" He questioned. "I mean, why are you talking differently? Why are you acting differently?" I replied. "I will tell you everything later, now come on." He said then grabbed my hand and lifted me up. I got up and gave him another hug.
We walked over to his house and went into the kitchen to find something to eat. "What do you want?" He asked me. "Um, I don’t know what do you have?" I replied. "Here, we will just have these." He said as he grabbed the pancakes out of the fridge. We sat down at the table and started to eat them. They were really nice but I for some reason I think that everything between us now is going to be really awkward. "Is, is it true Dom?" I asked. "Yes, it is true." He replied. "But, Dom you know you’ve already got a wife." I said. "I know, and how much I wished that person would be you, its not." He replied. "Dom, why didn’t you tell me?" I asked. "Because, we were always just friends and we never shown any kind of feelings for each other and it probably would've been awkward between us, just like it is now. And I know that neither of us wants it to be awkward." He answered. "Dom… I feel the same way. I just never wanted to tell you because it would've been awkward." I replied shyly. He looked me in the eyes and grabbed my hand. "Really?" He asked whilst looking down at his feet. "Really." I replied. He put my little side curl behind my ear, then he kissed me.
