I was new at this torture school. I have only been here 1 week and I really don’t want to stay! It’s absolutely horrible ere. I told my mum after one day of being at the school if I could leave and she told me that it’s the best school in town. Hah. One day when I was walking towards my locker a kid named Sarah Parker pushed me into the school bully Finn Peek's locker and after school I got a few bruises. When I got home my mum asked what happened I told her the truth and she thought that I was lying and it actually happened due to tripping over. Parents don’t get us teenagers. And they probably never will.
One day when I got home my mum just wanted me to get out, I could tell. She hates me. I had no choice; I had to leave the house. I only had one friend and he was the best friend anyone could ever have! But I think that he won’t want to be my friend because my school reputation is exactly the highest. His name is Dom Herman-Day, and mine is Amelia Kalo. At my old high school everyone was the nicest people ever. Now it’s the total opposite. Dom went to my primary school and my old high school. He said that he might move here so I will have someone to hang out with. He is so nice.
You might think that Dom and I are together but no.. We have always been friends and always only friends, and plus he can't have a girlfriend. He is in on an arranged marriage. He is absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes I wish that I was the one he was marrying. But yeah. We're just friends. And that’s all we want to be.
Today when I walked to school he was standing out the front dressed in my new schools uniform. He was going to my school!! I ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug ever and said "Thank you so much Dom! You’re the best friend ever!!" "Awww thanks Amelia!" He replied. We let go of each other and walked into school. When we walked past Finn Peeks locker Sarah Parker was standing out the front just staring at me. It was funny. I kind of think she thought Dom was hot. Can’t blame her. When Dom and I got to our lockers we chucked our bags in and grabbed out our stuff and walked to class.
When we got there the teacher: Mr Taol, just stared at Dom. Dom stared back and smiled. "Hello, you must be the new student! Welcome to your new class! What is your name?" Mr Taol asked. "Hi, thank you. My name is Dom Herman-Day." Dom replied. "Wonderful. And is Amelia your friend?" Mr Taol said. "Yes she is. We have been best friends since the start of primary school." Dom answered. "Okay then. You can sit next to her if you want." Mr Taol said. Dom and I walked towards the nearest double seat and sat down.
At recess I showed Dom around a bit more and at the end of the day I saw him walking home when I saw Finn walking with him. I ran towards him and hid behind a tree and listened. "Come on Dom, come to the party." I heard Finn say. What party? "I don’t want to; I told you I am busy that weekend." Dom said just as Finn pushed him into the tree I was hiding behind. Finn forced Dom against the tree and said "Are you sure you don’t want to come, Dominic?" "Fine, fine I will go." Dom replied half strangled. Finn let go of him and walked off. As soon as he was gone I ran up to Dom and gave him a hug and said "Dom, you don’t have to go, don’t let him change you." "I have no choice Amelia, I have to go. I'm sorry." He replied. "Fine then, ok." I said. We walked to his house and then I walked home.
When I got home mum was outside? gardening? I don’t know. I walked over to her and asked her what she was doing. "Mum, what are you doing?" "Gardening sweetheart, do you have a problem with that?" She replied. Sweetheart?? "Erm, no mum its fine…." I said as I walked towards the front door.
The door was open so I walked in, my sister had her music cranked up so loud. Oh yeah, I have a sister. Her name is Angelica and she's 16, two years older than me. She is addicted to music and what she calls "dancing". "ANGELICA TURN IT DOWN RIGHT NOW!" I heard my mum yell from outside. I don’t think she heard her because she just left it how it was. I walked up the stairs to her room and knocked on the door. "WHO IS IT?" She yelled above the music. "It's Amelia, Ang. Please turn the music down, mum just called out to you." I replied. "FINE THEN!" She yelled as she turned it off. "Thank you." I said as I walked down to my room.
I opened my door and walked in. It was spotless. I swear it was filthy this morning. Mum maybe? I don’t know. I jumped onto my bed and got my phone out to text Dom. He told me that he was going out for tea and asked if I wanted to come, they are going to my favourite restaurant, GreenIce. I of course agreed and started to get ready to go out.
