I was in 1st period, English class sitting in my desk trying to get Val's attention, but she was ignoring me completely. What if she knew I was pregnant and hated that I didn't tell her sooner? Maybe she just dosen't want to talk to me? Then Ms. Kwan's school phone started ringing. All that was going through my head was please don't let the phone be for me!
"Olivia" Ms. Kwan called after she hung up the phone.
Shit.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Go to the counselor's office." She replied and handed me a pass.
I got up out of my seat, grabbed my purse and walked out of the classroom. When I got to the counselor's office I saw Amel sitting in a chair in her office. Fuck, he told on me and now she's going to call my parent's and tell them I'm pregnant. I walked in and sat down in the seat next to Amel.
"Welcome Olivia" Ms. Jones said when I sat down.
"Uhm...why am I here?" I asked her nervously.
"Well Amel has come and told me that you are pregnant." She started.
"Is this true?" She asked me then.
"Yeah...but I don't need any help." I said and started to get out of my seat.
"Olivia, you can't go through this all alone, please, sit down, let's talk." She said.
I sat back down. I don't need to hear all this shit that I already know. She thinks she knows me, she doesn't know anything.
"Okay, first things first, do you plan on keeping the baby or giving he or she up for adoption?" She asked me.
"Keep" I said.
"I think adoption is better." Amel stated.
"Well it's not your decison." I said meanly.
"But I do have a say in this, because if you keep this baby it becomes my problem too." He said.
"He or she is not a problem you asshole, unlike you, I'm going to give this baby a good life without you're help!" I said.
"I'm glad you're very confident Olivia, but be realistic, it's going to be too hard for you to raise your child all on your own without any kind of child support or anything." Ms. Jones explained to me.
"I don't want his help!" I said.
"Have you even told your parents yet?" Ms. Jones asked me.
"Well, uhm, not yet...but I'm going to!" I replied.
"The sooner you do it the better, because you can't hide it forever." She said.
When I got home from school, my mom and dad were both home from work.
"Mom, Dad can we talk?" I asked them.
"Sure honey, what is it?" My mom asked me.
"Just sit down, it's kind of important." I replied.
"This must be important." My dad said.
"Please...mom, dad...don't be mad at me..." I said.
"What is it?" My mom asked me.
"I'm...I'm...pregnant..." I said.
