I awoke to the sound of catastrophic vibrating

I awoke to the sound of catastrophic vibrating. I sat up groggily, trying to identify what the hell it was. "Ah. That'd be my phone." I shuffled around, huffing as my legs got further tangled in the blanket. I swiped my phone from the bedside table, taking a second to glance outside. Nearly Pitch black out there. I switched the phone on, regretting my decision instantly. I dropped the phone into my lap, using my hands to shield my precious eyes from the unholy light. "Why do I ALWAYS forget to turn my brightness down!"

I picked the phone back up and finally checked who the HELL was messaging me at 2AM.

Dude I swear to All Might you better not come to my dorm. <

I took a moment to rub my eyes, which were starting to sting. I took a swig of water from the bottle beside my bed. "Okay, he's not answering. Maybe he fell asleep again..." I crossed my fingers as I hesitantly placed my phone down as if the movement would somehow alert him and he'd text again.

I thought my prayers were answered, for a moment.

And then I knew I was screwed when I heard the rapid knocking at my door. I let out a heavy sigh.

I shuffled out from under the blankets, cringing away when my foot hit the freezing dark hardwood flooring. I skipped toward the door, shifting my weight from foot to foot to try and minimise the chilling nipping.

I tugged open the door, instantly being greeted with a smiling Kaminari. He had a goofy smile plastered on his face, his yellow hair was tousled, and he was in his pyjamas, a black blanket draped over his shoulders. "Ah (L/n)! C'mon, we've got things to do!" He reached out, clamping a surprisingly warm hand around my wrist. He began tugging me down the hallway. "Wah- Kaiminari! What the HELL!" I hissed lowly, keeping in mind the other sleeping students. He simply shot a grin over his shoulder.

He finally slowed after reaching the common room, guiding me toward the couch. "Okay, seriously, what are we-" Kaminari cut me off, throwing the blanket over me and telling me to sit. I tore the blanket from over my head and before I could protest, he'd disappeared off toward the kitchen.

I sat in silence for a few minutes, cross-legged on the couch with the blanket draped over my lap. There wasn't much to do, and I'd left my phone in my room. I began fiddling with my hair in an attempt to keep remotely entertained.

Kaminari finally returned from the kitchen, holding two bowls. "Tah daaaah!" He plopped down beside me, his knee resting on mine. He held out the bowl. "Kaminari." The boy froze at my cold tone.

"Did you seriously wake me up at 2 am to eat cereal with you?" I quirked an eyebrow, daring him to answer. He simply grinned. "Of course! You always need a cereal buddy!" He chimed. "You've got to be kidding me." I sunk into the couch. "Well, I can always just eat your cereal too."

"What! Hey, it's my cereal now!"

We sat in a comfortable silence, casually eating cereal at 2 am. We'd kept a light conversation, and on more than one occasion I had nearly spat out the milk in an attempt to hold my laughter.

I glanced out the window. The sky wasn't as inky black as when I'd been in my dorm. "Hey Kami," I looked back at him. His head was cocked to the side, a small smile playing at his lips as he hummed. "Why did you really invite me to eat cereal with you?"

His cheeks flushed pink, and he hesitantly scratched the back of his neck. "I just really wanted to spend time with you... I'm sorry if you didn't like it..." He trailed off.

"You... You wanted to spend time with me?" I felt my own face flush. "Y-yeah."

I smiled. "Well, I wouldn't mind doing this again."

I watched as Kaminari lit up. His eyes were wide and seemed to be sparking with electricity. "However." He flinched. "I am very serious about sleeping. So you're being dubbed as my pillow." I didn't wait for a response and hastily shuffled over. I leant my head on his shoulder, unconsciously snuggling into his side.

It took Kaminari a moment, but he eventually settled in, draping the blanket over both their bodies. He let the rhythm of her breathing lull him into sleep.

Class 1A was very confused the next morning to find Kaminari and (Y/n) snuggled up on the common room couch, covered in various cereal, with two bowls and an empty carton of milk on the table.
