Another sleepless night
Full of torment and angst
Memories flooding my brain
Flashes of another life
Crippling me in a way
That takes away
My hope

I lay awake again
With words and phrases
Circling my brain
No stars visible
In this darkness
Enveloping me

There is no light
Aside from the sunrise
Nothing inside of me

Another sleepless night
I lay awake staring
At this blackness
That will no doubtlessly consume me
