Jungkook wasn't used to eating with someone. He grew up with a problemed family. They rarely have family time and Even just eating together. If they do eat together, it would turn into a nightmare. So ever since, Jungkook would do anythi g to escape eating with someone.
Meeting Yoongi, was a dream come true for Jungkook. As soon as Yoongi knew about Jungkook's Family. Yoongi promised to not let Jungkook Eat alone. He would wait for Jungkook every night. With food ready in the table. Both of them was the only thing missing.
For the past 2 weeks it worked. They're eating together. Conversations was good. But Jungkook was still afraid, Anything this good would be ashame if it was to dissappear.
So he did what he thought he was good at. Running away.
He would often go home late to not have dinner with Yoongi. But Yoongi was a hardheaded and determined person. He would always wait for Jungkook. even if it takes a couple of hours of waiting to nothing. A promise is a promise after all.
Jungkook would often come home with a Sleeping Yoongi in their dinner table with Untouched Food in the table. Everytime Jungkook sees his lover at the table asleep, the thought of Yoongi waiting for him countless of time, makes him feel guilty.
Jungkook would always say the quote " You won't know what you got til it's gone " is overrated. But in his case, it might not be.
It's been a year now since Yoongi had died in that car accident. And Jungkook was left reminiscing to the days that Yoongi would be home waiting for him at their dinner table. He wished he would've gone home much early.
Heck he wouldn't leave their home if he'd know it would end like this. He wished he Spent his whole time with Yoongi, in their safe place, in their home.
Jungkook would often Come back home and imagine Yoongi inside smiling. But soon faced with reality that Yoongi wouldn't come back.
