Jack's Life

Jack's POV

I heard a manly voice at the door so I went to it. I was shocked to see Jefferson. ''I'm here for you, Elsa.'' he told her while smirking. He gave her the chocolates that Elsa left outside. Elsa's eyes widened in shock. ''Your the admirer!'' Elsa exclaimed. I realized it too and my hands clenched into fists. 

Jefferson looked at me and smirked. ''I see that my older brother is here.'' he said while looking at me. ''Older brother? Jack is your older brother?'' I asked him and he nodded. I went to Jefferson and held his collar high. ''What do you want, Jeff?'' I asked him. ''Woah, I just like Elsa.'' he said while looking at Elsa. Elsa looked at him disgustly.

Elsa's POV

How well do I know this Jack? Do I really know him well? ''Jack, put him down and explain immediatly. I do not expect you to lie. Come upstairs to my room and talk about it.'' I said while going upstairs. I waited for Jack and when I looked at my window, I saw Jeff leaving. Jack came to my room and sat on my bed.

''Tell me.'' I told him. ''He is just part of the past.'' he answered. ''Well, we have alot of time since it is Friday. Go on.'' I said. He looked concerned at me. 'I will tell you my past if you tell me yours.'' he said. I shook his hand for a deal and sat beside him. I am not really into telling my stories but, he can be a great listener.

''Jeff is the fruit of a big mistake. Well, you know I hate my dad. It is because...... he had an affair when I was born. I knew about it when I was fourteen.'' he said avoiding the past. ''Tell me the exact story.'' I told him and he nodded.

''When I was born, dad wasn't there for mom. Instead, he was there for his second family. Jeff was born after my birth. He had Jefferson with his second wife and he usually come home late. When I was six, there was this play at school and dad promised me to come and watch. The play was about to start but he never came. 

Mom was the only one there with the one year old, Emma. When we arrived home, dad was talking to someone on his phone. I went to him and kicked his leg. Dad was super annoyed that he punched my little stomach. Mom came to support me. Dad seemed sorry and I told him about the play.

He said he was super sorry and that he would make it up to me one time. I forgave him because he is my dad and I love him. When I was fourteen, dad had a new secretary. We didn't know he had a second wife and that she was his secretary. One day, dad said he had a meeting

with a big company. Dad left his lunch and mom told me to bring it for him.'' Jack stopped for a moment. I gave him a look to continue. He let out a single tear. ''When I went to his office, his co-workers told me they didn't know where dad is but was sure to be with the secretary. I decided to stroll around and I went to peek in into a dark room.

Dad was there with his secretary. They were making....... you know what I mean. I dropped the bag and dad looked at me shocked. He fixed himself and went to me. I ran home. I didn't tell me mom about it cause I don't want to hurt her. But when I was sixteen, she found out herself. He folllowed dad into his second house with his second family.

Mom barged in and swore them. She went home crying to my shoulders. Dad went home and said he would leave them for us. I did't believe him but mom loved dad so much that she believed him already. Dad didn't really do that and mom found out when I was 20, which is last year. 

Dad and mom divorced but dad was still the one supporting Emma and I's education. He went to Ohio for a business trip.

Flashback

''Jack, I have a business meeting to Ohio. I will be gone for a month. I will miss you son.'' my real father said. I glared at him. ''You are not my father.'' I told him coldly. He had a sad look about it and sighed. ''I love you.'' he said and closed the door. That evening while watching news, our eyes were caught. A plane crashed and nobody survived. That was the same plane were that old man rode.

End of flashback

''Mom, Emma, Jeff and dad's second wife attended his funeral while I didn't. One day, I went to his stone and offered flowers. That was my last visit.'' Jack finished. I said nothing but I just hugged him. Now I know why he is so cruel to the world. He had a sad past.

''I'm sorry, Jack.'' I told him. ''It's fine. I'm over with it. Would you mind telling me yours?'' he asked me. I nodded and started. '' I was five when mom died giving birth to Anna. Dad was depressed and all but he didn't blame Anna. Instead, he loved her with all his heart. When I was in sixth grade, guys would always beat me up while the girls tease me. I was nerd and wore thick glasses.''

There was this girl name Dana. She became my best friend but one day, I knew that she wasn't. She was just tricking me and when our graduatin ball happened. She spilled juice at me. I cried because I thought she was good for me.''

''When I started my first year, I never wore my glasses. Now, guys would always like me and ask me out but I always refused. Girls would always fight with me thinking that I was stealing their boyfriends.''

''Dad, always refused for me to go on a date and he said only when I graduated college. And now, dad met your mom and are engaged.'' I told him. He gave me a smile. ''Your lucky.'' he told me. I gave him a lucky-for-what look.

''Your lucky that, you didn't have a rude father.'' he said. I smiled at him and nodded approving what he said. ''At least, my dad is going to be your dad soon.'' I told him. He laughed and nodded. ''Yeah,  will now consider myself lucky too.'' he said. We went downstairs and saw Jeff sitting and chatting with Anna. 

I went to Anna and told her to go upstairs. She did and locked herself in her room because of annoyment. ''Hi Els. Here have this chocolate. I bought a new one.'' Jefff said. I shook my head politely. Jack went infront of me and defensed.

''You should leave.'' Jack said while pushing him out of the door. When Jeff was outside, He complained. ''You have no right to push me out. Besides, I was here for Elsa. What makes you think you could do that?'' he asked Jack. Jack looked furious.

''I'm his brother.''  Jack replied and slammed the door.
