The LaLaurie Mansion

I'm not writing Rob into this one because I just feel like he wouldn't really do any of this. He'll be replaced with Nate this go-round.

I'm probably not going to be doing another haunted one shot anytime soon.... Some weird stuff started happening to me as I wrote this... No joke.

The group was at Sky's house, in Louisiana. Her mother was letting the large group stay there while the family was on vacation. Sky and Austin stayed in Sky's old room, while Tim, Nate, Chance, and Adam stayed in the boys room with the two bunk bed sets. Angie and Brea stayed in Sky's parents room, and Eileen and Alex took the guest room.

At the moment, they were in the boys room, talking about a possible adventure.

"Nope, nope, nope, nope." Eileen huffed, shaking her head. "Ghosts aren't real."

"You're just skeptical." Sky said, pursing her lip.

"I, for one, think there's a good chance." Austin mused.

"You're just agreeing with Sky because she's your girlfriend." Brea scoffed

"That has nothing to do with it!" Austin exclaimed.

"What exactly do you all want to do?" Adam asked, just coming in.

"We want to go get a Ouija Board and use it somewhere." Alex said.

"Uuuhhh, no comment."

"If we're gonna do it, we have to go big." Tim said, ignoring the others.

"Where do you have in mind?" Alex asked, sitting cross legged on one of the bunk beds.

"There's two houses down the road that have been there since I was a kid. They're abandoned and falling apart." Sky said, recalling the two story house and trailer. "One time, my cousin and I tried to open the door, and we heard this unearthly growl. We booked it." She recalled, chuckling.

"I'm not talking about possibly haunted houses. I mean something that's 100% haunted." Tim said.

"Like...?" Alex pushed.

"Well, one of the most haunted places in the world is just in New Orleans." Chance said, taking out his phone.

"Wait, really?" Angie marvelled, snapping her head in his direction.

"Yeah, the LaLaurie mansion." He answered, pulling up the wiki page.

Sky recalled the story behind the LaLaurie mansion, and she swallowed thickly.

"You sure we can't just run out back to those dilapidated houses while I still have the guts?" She asked sheepishly.

"You scared, Squirt?" Alex teased, earning a huff in reply.

"So what if I am? The story behind the LaLaurie mansion is terrifying! There's a reason it's haunted!" She defended.

"Well, yeah! It was a horrific story!" Alex exclaimed. "I've done my research with stuff like this. Its not pretty."

"Sounds like the perfect place to talk to spirits, then!" Nate remarked, earning a chuckle from Brea.
