Todoroki's POV

I felt kind of embarrassed when everyone laughed at me... I personally think that Frozen is a very nice, relatable, good movie.

Anyway, I enjoyed myself, watching it with my friends... well, kind of friends. I don't think they like me actually. At least they pretend to.

I noticed Midoriya falling asleep on my bed. He looked so cute, like a little fluffy cat.
I got up and went over to him to cover him with a blanket.
I couldn't contain my smile as he screwed up his face slightly and smiled up at me sleepily.

I petted his hair gently.

"Um... do you two lovebirds want us to leave? We could always watch movies in my room, or another night," Mina grinned.

"S-sure... you sure? I mean... I d-didn't... I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay, loverboy," Momo teased.

I felt my cheeks flush red.

"See ya!" Denki called, getting up to leave.
The others followed, Bakugou last.

He turned back for a second at the door.

"Bastard!" He glared at me.

"Have a good night, Bakugou," I replied calmly. That shut him up.

"You want to go back to y-"

"No! Stay here..." Midoriya mumbled, nuzzling into my pillows.

"...fine."

I changed into my night clothes (I didn't feel comfortable with everyone there) and lay down beside him.

"Goodnight..." I whispered.

"'Night. Love you," he clutched at my shirt.

I smiled slightly.

"Love you too..."

"Stop... stop it... no. You're lying...! Please. Just... go away. Stop it..."

"Midoriya? Wake up! What's-"

"Sh-Shoto...!" He sobbed, wrapping his arms around me.

"What happened?" I comfortingly stroked his hair, holding him tightly.

"I... N-nothing."

"...bad dreams?" I asked quietly.

He nodded.

"It's alright. It was just a dream. You're safe now..."

"I'm not..." His voice was so quiet I could barely hear him.

"What do you mean?"

"Never... never mind. Let's go back to sleep now!" He said quickly.

"But..."

I felt him nestle down beside me and snore softly. Damn it.

Deku's P.O.V

Shit. These damn nightmares. 'Kacchan-nightmares' I called them.

I was in a completely white room, almost like an endless void. I was seated cross-legged on the floor, alone, when a sudden voice calls.

"Hey. Useless! Whatcha doin'?"

"Wh-who's... who's there?"

"It's me... I'm always here to remind you of how shitty you are. You know, Kacchan is right. You are a waste of space! A useless, quirkless-"

"Shut up!" I clutched my hands over my ears but the voice is inside my head.

"You really should take a Swan dive out the window. No one would miss you. No one cares."

"No. You're lying! Stop it!"

"I'm not. You know that. No one ever would give a shit about the quirkless kid!"

"... Shoto does..."

"Yeah right! You don't deserve him. He only pitied you!"

"Go away! You're lying! Stop it! Please!"

"Deku! Useless! Dumb! Idiot!"

The chants fade to black silence and I'm alone again.

"Midoriya! Wake up! What's-?"

I cut him off, sobbing.

"Sh-Shoto...!"
I cling onto him like baby. He's the only one who was ever there for me... but maybe he really did just pity the poor quirkless kid with no father...

"What happened?" I felt him stroke my hair and hug me.

"I... N-nothing."

"...bad dreams?" He asked quietly.

I sniffle and nod into his chest.

"It's alright. It was just a dream. You're safe now..."

"I'm not..." I choked out.

"What do you mean?"

I immediately regretted that.

"Never... never mind. Let's go back to sleep now!" I mumble quickly.

"But..."

I heard him, but closed my eyes and snuggle into the pillows, making a slight snoring sound as I'd I were asleep. That was close.

He sighed and rolled onto his back.

I didn't want to lie to him like this but... how would he react? Probably think that I'm weird, mad even.

At least he believed me.
