She's My Friend

Jane walked over to Flynn. "I heard about what happened to Khadgar. I'm very sorry." Flynn said. "It's fine, Flynn. It's not your fault." Jane said. Flynn rubbed Jane's shoulder. Jane sighed sadly. "Sylvanas said that he'll come back eventually. But he used fel magic." Jane said sadly. "It'll be okay. He'll return. He always finds a way." Flynn comforted. "But what if he doesn't return? I wouldn't forgive myself for not taking the book and burning it when I discovered Khadgar had found it." Jane said. "You have too much on your mind, Jane. Relax a bit." Flynn said. Jane tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and sighed. "Y-you're right. I should relax for a little while." Jane said. Flynn smiled and led Jane to a place in the Crimson Forest.

"Why did you bring me here?" Jane asked. "Because I need to tell you something." Flynn asked. "What?" Jane asked. "Jane, ever since high school and college, I have had a crush on you. I tried to tell you through subtle romantic jokes, but you just rejected me." Flynn confessed. "Flynn, I rejected you because you're just not my type. I only like you as a friend, and nothing else. I'm already married to Khadgar. I'm sorry." Jane said. Flynn sighed dejectedly and walked away sadly. "Flynn, please don't walk away. We're friends. You can tell me about your feelings." Jane said. "I already told you how I felt about you, and yet you rejected me." Flynn said, looking at Jane over his shoulder. "Flynn-" Jane was interrupted. "No! I just... I just need to think for a while." Flynn said before running off. "Flynn..." Jane reached her hand out to Flynn, but retracted it. 'I have hurt yet another person.' Jane thought, before sitting down on the ground and sighing sadly. It was all too much for her to handle. Her husband was missing and she was about to lose one of her high school friends. Jane started crying uncontrollably. 'I love you, Jane.' A memory of Khadgar's voice came to her. 'It'll be okay.' Flynn's voice said in her mind. Jane sobbed and wiped a tear from her eye. From afar, Flynn was watching her. 'I hurt her feelings.' Flynn thought sadly. 'Should I go back to her?' Flynn asked himself. He decided no, he wouldn't. He didn't want to seem like a stalker. 'But she's my friend! I have to help her.' Flynn thought. 'No! I can't. I'll help her when I see her again.' Flynn thought. He sadly walked back to the ships.
