1. Make Them Treats That Are Fresh. Consider doing spinach, carrots, and other vegetables. (Look on youtube for some good hamster tread ideas!)

2. Provide your hamster with a large cage. 600 square inches is great for Syrian hamsters.

3. Provide A water bottle and a heavy food dish, were as hamsters like to eat in there food bowl, so buy a heavy one.

4. Deep bedding. Your hamster loves to burrow itself in the bedding to sleep, so make sure it is deep enough for your Syrian to burrow.

5. Treats! Your hammie loves it when you scatter treats around their cages when they are asleep, so they can find them when they wake up. Hamsters have an amazing sense of smell so they can find them easily!

6. Put the cage in a quiet room. If you don't put them in a quiet room, you can irritate your hamster. Its trying to sleep and the noise is disturbing him/her from doing so.

7. Play with your hammie for 30 minutes everyday, after you had it for about two weeks. This is perfect time to bond with it! The first week, let your hamster be and don't disturb it (When you first get it). Let it get used to its surroundings. Please be careful while holding your hamster! Be gentle and scoop him/her up from the bottom.

8. Provide entertainment! Your hamster gets bored fast, so put one wheel per hamster in the cage. Leave two boredom breakers in the cage at all times. (Switch the boredom breakers out weekly.) Then some chew toys. If you don't your hamster can and will stop eating and drinking.
