*Nairobi*
"I'm late, in truth very late,
I need to make faster motions, very fast movements I got to run, but I want to be cool as well, running isn't cool especially if you're already late, but this will save minutes.Kiano be chill, even though your mother promised you to lynch you if you dare to be late ever in your life again.
I mumbled to myself until Someone decided to daunt the hell out of me by tipping on my shoulder. I shot a quick glare that caused my grandmother to smirch a good one across my face. It took me a few seconds to reflect the slap my Grandma granted me.
"Sorry grandma, I didn't mean to shoot you a na-" She smeared another one, this one was even harder to reflect and I just stood there being completely bewildered.
"Who are you talking to," I was baffled and couldn't get any sound out of my mouth until she threatened to lift her hand again.
Suddenly I knew how to speak again. U stammered some words, words, if you dare to call gibberish 'words'. I sensed that my grandma started to lose patience and I had to speak up before she started to haul me across the streets.
"I was talking to myself" My granny cocked her left eyebrow, I shot a quick prayer and pleaded that my grandma didn't smack me again with her tough hands or even worse put me to shame. You see my grandma was a very wicked woman, she always shared the most embarrassing stories about us.
"You're so very strange my son" With that, she walked away, I stood there entirely baffled again within a time span of five minutes, what had made realize that I stood there for five stupid minutes and I started to run. When I reached the school at last, I stormed in the class and everybody laughed at me, because the teacher wasn't even in the class yet.
"Where's teacher" Some shrugged and shook their heads, I finally had the chance to relax.
"Thank God, I hope he doesn't find out I'm late, " I stated with all fierce, with my toughest voice.
"I hope that too" My teacher sounded out and granted me a fine smack. I had no chance to reflect, because he pushed me to my table, some people tried to muffle their laughter.
"I hope your mother, won't find it out the same way I did" My teacher said and the whole class couldn't hold their laughter anymore. The teacher stood in front of the desk and nobody dared to make a sound again.
"Students you're going to correspond with Dutch students." My teacher said while handing out some papers.
"Introduce yourself and stay polite" with that he carelessly walked away, because he knew that we didn't dare to make any sound. I had no idea what I should write, I didn't like to write.
Hello Dutch person,
My name's Kiano, I'm 18 years old.
I'm very proud of my name, it means full of joy, because my mother was barren for six years after she conceived my brother.I love to go to school and I work hard at school, because I want to be a lawyer and my father's a lawyer too, not everybody in africa is a farmer,
***
I don't know why I wrote that down, I assumed that she sees me living in a shack made of crap, everybody else did. My friends from England thought that I lived in a tree.In my free time I give free football lessons for little boys,
I love to travel, I travelled to England a few times I especially love Canterbury and Ramsgate, because I made lots of friends there,I hate writing letters to be honest, it feels a bit akward, I do have a cool penpal from China, but that's through mail.
I love gaming and I love Jesus, I'm probably the biggest jesus freak you'll ever know!
Kiano, call me Kai if you want,
After school, I went home immediately, I tried my hardest to sneak in, but if you have something like an older brother sneaking in is no option at all.
"Ma Kai is here, he went to school way too late remember?" My brother said, grinning while keeping his eyes on the screen. I was ready to jump the bastard, but my amazing mother had already her hand on my ear.
"I told you not to go late to school, why were late" My mom asked, I was trying to find some lame excuse, but I run out of ideas when you're always late and absent it won't take a lot of time to lose inspiration.
"Never mind, eat dinner after dinner you go to bed rightaway, no TV, Phone or any of those louzy videogames."
"but, ma-" my mother ssst me and pointed one finger, the finger and I swallowed all the words and beggings.
"No, but and do as I say" She walked away and kissed my brother on his forehead.
"Like a boss mom" Zachariah, my brother mocked at me, I didn't waste this chance and jumped him, after a few seconds he had me pinned down to the ground.
"Let go of me" I pleaded with the toughest way possible, My brother shook his head.
"You should really step up your game, little brother if you ever want to win a fight in your life from anybody." My brother started to hug me and kiss me on the forehead, like he did when we were young.
"Stop doing that, Zach" he let go of me. I pushed him away with no effect at all.
"Why is mom never mad at you" he patted me rougly on the shoulder.
"Because I'm tall, strong handsome, smart, with serious ambitious and you're the youngest as in mom's baby. Mommies little girl" he then rolled over the floor in laughter.
"I hate you," I mumbled.
"No you don't KiKi, you love me a lot, to the moon and back even beyond that, your love for me goes through ice and fire and your love for me is passionate, to the moon, pluto and back three times,"
"Narcissist" he shrugged and walked out of the room and I fell asleep not long after that on the couch.
