I woke up in the middle of the night, I wasn't sure why but I knew something was going to happen. I grabbed my phone, and immediately saw a message of Charley, I clicked on the message and read it "I'm so sorry, but I can't do this anymore". But that can't be true, she can't do that. The message was send 10 minutes ago, I still had the possibility of saving her. I texted her, my hands were shaking "please don't leave me- I knew she tried to do it several times before-You can't do this to me- she's been in hospital for it- please keep fighting- Please let her not be dead- I'm coming as quick as possible- please, please, please- don't do it". I pressed the button to send the text. I tried to calm myself down when I heard my ringtone. I immediately picked up my phone, but it wasn't Charley, it was a message from Finn, in the Vent group chat "has anyone heard something from Charley?". My hands were shaking if I typed a yes. I called Finn, I couldn't handle this.
"Finn?"
"Yeah? What's wrong? What did Charley text you? Are you okay?"
Their voice was shaking
"She texted me that she was sorry and couldn't do this anymore"
"Fuck... did you text her back?"
"Y-yeah, I did"
"What did you text her?"
"That she couldn't leave me, that she couldn't do that to me, that she had to keep fighting, that I was coming to her as quick as possible"
"Good, where are you now? And did she respond?"
"No not yet, the message did receive tho"
"Okay, keep calm, stay breathing, I'm going to text h-"
Her sentence got interrupted by my ringtone, Charley left the Ventchat. That meant she was still alive!
I stopped the call with Finn and immediately called Charley, I got declined. I tried again, and got again declined. I felt the panic coming up. My stomach started protesting, images of Charley, all bloody and with staring, glassy eyes were rushing through my head. I stumbled to the bathroom and threw up. I cried, and cried and threw up again. I was a huge mess. The next memory I can remember was me lying on the bathroom floor, with my phone zooming next to me. Finn was calling me.
