Silence filled the air, none of them had said anything for ten minutes. They just stood there, side by side looking at the city.
"Um.....Marinette" Chat noir mumbled
"Yeah?" Marinette responded
"Do u remember that night I visited you? You were on your balcony, and we were both having trouble in the love department." Chat said in a serious voice, still looking at the city in front of him.
"Yeah, that was the night André got akumatized." Said Marinette.
"That night you said someone broke your heart, I was wondering who it was." Chat noir said eagerly.
"Um, you won't know him." Marinette explained, hoping Chat noir would let it go.
"You'd be surprised" Chat persisted.
He didn't seem like himself, he wasn't joking around or anything. This concerned Marinette, it was weird to see Chat noir like this. When ever they fought akumas Chat would joke around and make cat puns.
Something had to have happened to Chat for him to be so down. Marinette thought.
"Do you really wanna know?" Marinette asked.
Chat noir turned to Marinette and noded, a blank stare in his eyes.
"Ok fine, I guess it can't hurt." Marinette was hesitant to say the next few words, but there was no going back now.
"It was Adrien Agreste."
