Adrien ran into home room, late as always. As he walked in he saw Marinette sitting in her usual spot, she was reading. When she looked up time stood still. Her bluebell eyes shined beautifully, almost hypnotising him. Her dark hair was in a bun today, it suited her. Adrien could see her cute little freckles and he remembered when he saw them up close last night.
"Hey Adrien," Marinette waved with a wide smile across her face
"Hi Marinette," Adrien waved back, unable to get his words out.
Why am I finding it so hard to speak? Adrien thought.
Adrien's heart was racing as he took his seat, he didn't understand why he was feeling this way.
The whole day was a blur, Adrien spent most of it thinking about Marinette and last night. Nino tried talking to him but Adrien didn't answer, he was too busy daydreaming. Nino eventually gave up. Marinette could tell there was something wrong with Adrien, he wasn't writing anything down. She decided to go talk to him after class and see what was wrong.
[after class]
"Ummm..... Adrien?" Marinette said, making her way to Adrien's desk. The finale bell had just rung and Adrien hadn't moved.
"Yeah?" Adrien replied, shaking his daydreams away.
"Are you ok?" Marinette asked.
"I'm fine, just a bit out of it," Adrien responded, "well I have to go, don't want father to get mad." Adrien left in a rush.
"Ok..?" Marinette said, slightly confused.
As Adrien ran out, he realised he would be seeing Marinette later tonight. His heartbeat quickened at the thought of her.
