"Oh? That's all you have to say? Is oh?" Isaac questioned with a tone of disbelief. He moved off of Aaron and sat on the side of the bed.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to say." Aaron said quickly and apologetically. "I mean, it's not everyday your best friend tells you he has feelings for you. It just kind of shocked me." Aaron tried to explain himself.

Isaac frowned and stood up from the bed. "You don't like me back, do you? What we're doing, the kissing and the touching, it doesn't mean anything to you."

"It's not like that!" Aaron exclaimed. "I - I don't know how I feel. I like kissing you and I like touching you. I just don't know if I like..." He trailed off, not wanting to hurt Isaac's feelings.

But Isaac could see where he was going with it and he felt hurt anyone. "You don't know if you like me." He whispered. There it was. The thing Isaac had been fearing finally happened. Aaron didn't like him back.

"I didn't say that. I don't know how I feel." Aaron was having a hard time explaining himself. "I just mean... we've been best friends since we were in diapers and... you mean everything to me. I just don't know if we should take that next step in our relationship."

"Why not? Why are you so hesitant? You have to have some sort of feelings for me if you're willing to kiss me." Isaac said with frustration. "Wait, let me guess, has it got to do with Scott." He spat out the name.

Aaron widened his eyes. "This hasn't got anything to do with Scott."

"Please. You'd much rather him being the one to confess his feelings for you because he's the one you have fallen for, not me." Isaac couldn't take it anymore. "You'd rather be with a guy who can't make up his mind on what he wants over the guy that always been there for you."

"Isaac! It's not not like." Aaron yelled at him.. "I'm not choosing Scott over you. Scott isn't even on my mind right now!" He said truthfully. "The only person I'm thinking about is you and my confused feelings about you. I promise."

"So you're telling me if Scott came to you and said he loved you, you wouldn't be with him?"

"I can only take so many love confessions in one day." Aaron rubbed his forehead. "But no. I wouldn't just jump on him in the scenario he had feelings for me because believe or not I don't even know how I feel about Scott, the same way I don't know how I feel about you."

"I find that hard to believe."

"Well, believe it or not but it's the truth." Aaron said firmly.
