Picture of Dalton on side!!!!!!!!!!!--------------------------------->
Dalton's P.O.V.
He is holding her in his arms while she sleeps. She is snuggled as close as she can be in the arms of the man she loves. I felt like I was going to be sick. I was glaring at him in the rearview mirror when he looks up and meets my gaze. I quickly shift my eyes away, that was too close. Hunter caught me starring at her, does he know what I'm thinking or how I feel? I hope he didn't notice. I need to get my mind off of her, but how...? She's all I seem to think about, now-a-days. Maybe I can get her off my mind at the lakehouse, but oh wait... that's gonna be kinda hard to do when she will be sleeping in the room across the hall! Suddenly I hear someone weeping. Oh-no. I look in the rearview mirror to see Danielle crying into that monster's chest still asleep. Suddenly she starts to cry out.
"Dalton get away from me! Hunter help!" She says repeatedly. Hunter grabs her by the shoulders shaking her trying to wake her up. It wasn't working. Was she having a nightmare of me hurting her? I feel like crap now.
"Get your hands off of me! Hunter is going to kill you when he finds out what you are doing!" She cries out louder. Does she think that I am trying to rape her? Is that what she is having a nightmare about?
"Baby shh... it will be ok. It's Hunter. Dalton isn't going to hurt you. Wake up angel." He coos while shaking her harder. Her baby blue eyes open with the tears still flowing.
"Hunter?" She asks unsure.
"Yes it's me baby. It's ok, what were you dreaming about though?" He asks her while wiping away the tears.
"Can we talk about it later? In private?" She asks while looking at me in the rearview mirror, our eyes meet before she shifts her gaze again.
"Of course angel. Go back to sleep." Hunter says while rubbing small circles on her back and laying her back down.
"No. I can't go back to sleep now, I don't want to have another nightmare." She whimpers out. Wow, even if she wanted to, I don't think that she could rub anymore salt into my wounded broken heart. I've caused her nightmares? What other sorts of pain have I caused her? We will definately have a long talk about all of this later on tonight.
"Well don't worry about it, we're here anyways." I say while pulling the truck into the driveway. I look over to see Hali glaring out the window. What is matter with her? She has been in a grumpy mood the whole ride. Oh well, maybe she will tell me later, now for some fun on a Saturday night. Me and Hunter drag all of the stuff into the house while the girls just kinda look around. Once we get everything put away Danielle gets a great idea.
"Hey! Why don't we all go swimming?" She says while hugging Hunter.
"That sounds great! Come on Danielle I need your help!" Hali exclaims while practically dragging Danielle up the stairs. Wow, what happened there? I hear a growling sound, I turn around to see Hunter staring at me, growling.
"What's your problem bro?"
"You made her cry! You are giving her freaking nightmares! You are causing her more pain than her parents ever did!" He yells at me. Just then I hear someone crying behind us. I turn around to see Danielle crying with her swimsuit cover-up on. She overheard mine and Hunter's "conversation". She slowly walks in between us before speaking.
"Don't yell at him Hunter. Please just stop."
"But he m-" Danielle stopped him from talking anymore by placing a single finger over his lips.
"Stop it, please. Come on, let's please just try to have some fun, honey." She says while grabbing one of his large hands and holding it in her two small, fragile hands. He glares at me before looking back at her and calming down.
