Inexplicable behavior

After the final award reception the organizers of the MAMA said their congratulations on the successful year of K-Pop and their closing speeches were followed by a short film that concluded the entire year's timeline and new set records congratulating all the groups on their tremendous hard-work throughout. After the ceremony ended, the groups began leaving and the new groups are the last ones to leave, letting our sunbaes go before them as a respectful gesture. We saw them leaving and bowed to bid them a goodbye, the same for EXO but since I had interacted with them earlier it was more friendly and comfortable. While the 5 others that stood by my side turned into hyper fangirls, I remained composed and nodded to almost every member- especially Chanyeol.

As we exited our manager was discussing some serious matters, as it seemed from her worried expressions, with some other... manager? They stood next to the van which was being occupied by the bangtan members one by one hinting to the other person being their manager. My eyes remained fixed on the last person who settled in the van- Min Yoon Gi who waited for their manager to enter before he could slide to door close. While we waited for ours, they waited for their manager and there- his eyes lifted to settle on mine. The next few minutes were spent into lasting longer than the other in the staring contest, both not wavering even a bit, none letting it go loose for the other one to win, not unless his group members slid the door close and what was I to do any more than to smirk since he just lost. I just blinked looking away and the door flew open again to reveal a smirking annoying person who stomped all over my confidence this evening mouthing 'You Lost tsk tsk, poor girl.'

SOMEONE STOP ME BEFORE I PULL HIS EYES OUT OF THEIR SOCKETS!! I begin to cross the road over to their automobile in full fury but as much as my body was forcing to walk forward, my girls- all five of them tried to keep me put. 'Feisty... amusing' and he smirked like the devil he is. I stopped getting a hold over myself and my angry face was something of great delight to him and as our managers returned I ended the conversation with 'This isn't over... Sunbae' and I left with a sarcastic smile. We settled in our van to head over to our dorm while our manager drove us. "I need to talk to all of you, let's do it over dinner."

"Yes, unnie" We sang together and nodded along. I looked out of the window sighing as the evening's events were running through my mind. I had calmed down since had I had someone talk to me like that I would still do the same- leave that person on the floor. Considering from past experience he was to fall anyway- since he did not take care of the situation when I asked him to. So it wasn't entirely my fault as I had warned him which he ignored and so a major credit goes to him. But what even happened to him all of a sudden? Wasn't he dead angry enough to scare me out of my wits resulting to me crying on the stage and suddenly went back to his ignorant-annoying-rude self.

Was he not angry anymore?

If he was, why would he interact with me at all after all that?

Sheesh- I really don't understand him.

"tsk" I involuntarily voiced out earning the attention of everyone else in the van.

"Nini, are you fine? Listen, if you're thinking about the evening don't worry about it" Pyuri consoled.

"Aah... about the evening, I have a lot to discuss with you Nini" I gasped when our manager said this. This can't be. I can't stand another round of interrogations and uncomfortable talk but this is necessary. "uh- okay unnie" I replied while Minna patted my back wishing me luck.

We reached our dorms and went to our respective rooms to change into comfortable clothing to proceed with dinner. We joined Unnie in the dining and began serving as she cut the eerie silence "You all did well this evening and I'm proud of you... but Nini, you need to hold down those daring stunts that you keep pulling all the time. You are confident and everyone knows it. You are non-hesitant and that too is a good quality of yours but use them when needed and not everywhere and anywhere. You know what I mean. Going to EXO's table- I don't agree with your actions but fine. It will form more articles and many more talks will flow through the crowd regarding you so it's good for publicity. Also considering that they have appreciated your music there is a possibility of collaboration. On personal terms, I understand why you did it and I appreciate you for that since it will create a very unique image of you in the K-Pop industry." Everyone smiled at me as they listened intently to what our manager said.

"About what happened with BTS... I am slightly disappointed since this was the biggest night of the year and media and idols- everyone was there. Cameras focused on you two and everyone saw that you cried- something not much appreciated but I understand how you must have felt at that moment since I know what sort of a person Suga is. Since you are the one who cried and went to help him, Suga is the one who will face more criticism. Also if this was the biggest night of the year, there'll be many more years too. So it is fine. Since you handle criticism well, I won't tell you what to do about it but there is one thing that is mandatory at the moment. The CEO had contacted me and their manager to let you two meet up for a week at the company, every day so you could sort it out and release a statement one week later once you two have reached a solution and some understanding."

Haha what a joke- NO freaking WAY.

"I know what you're thinking but well, Suga agreed so you can't say a no to that."

Everyone peered at her wide-eyed. "Okay now stop looking at me like that and eat it's not like he'll abduct you or something-"

"Unnie, I think it's not her who's at risk, it's him." Seokna giggled and I looked at her with the look 'What do you mean by that?' "WHAT did I say wrong? Hehehe the way you were leaping forward with anger to kill him, we all saw that" now everyone joined her and jeered at me.

Just WOW. The night couldn't have been better.

"This week is a gap time for all of you to replenish and rejuvenate yourselves. Eat, work-out, watch movies, nap all the time- do whatever since the preparations for your comeback will begin." All of us cheered together. "You've worked hard. Keep it up and let's hope for significant articles in the morning. Sleep well, girls. I'll be back in the morning and all of us have to visit the company, all of us to discuss the articles, respond to them and meet the CEO. Nini will stay-back there to talk things out and rest of you will have the entire week to yourselves."

We returned to our rooms and hit our pillows after chatting about the evening and I explained everything that happened, to them. The one question they asked me to which I had no answer was- 'Why did you cry?' It's not like I didn't know the answer, I just didn't have enough courage to open the Pandora's box that I had once dug deep in myself somewhere to never even think of again. Now I knew- however far you go or whatever heights you reach, the past always creeps up on you in some way. It's like a shadow that never leaves you and collides with you when you fall down. The past flooding my mind, I cried to my sleep.
