By time we had gotten to the party, the guest were already there, dancing around and having a good time. There were beautiful women, with different colored of gowns, their hair done up to match the elegance of their dresses. The men, with form fitting tux's, hair slicked back making them look older, or younger than they really were, depending on the ages. As I walked in, every pair of eyes turned towards me. Nora gives my hand a light squeeze, feeling how nervis I was. Without saying anything, I squeeze back, telling her thank you, and started walking towards my father. As I walk forward, everyone makes a split in the crowed, bowing or curtsying as I walk by them. When I was about half way to my father, Clistien runs out of the crowed, jumping up in time for me to catch her in my arms.

"Princess Jeldorine! You look so pretty!"

"Oh well thank you Clistien! You look adorable you're self you know. I think one day you will have the boys flying after you!" I poked her little stomach, making the little seven year old giggle and blush. I switched her around setting her on my hip, careful not to wrinkle my dress. As I continued to walk towards my father, I sent a dashing smile to everyone I passed. I had a few more kids run up and say hello, and tell me how pretty I looked. One of the boys who was Clistien's age said hello and even told her how cute she looked. She just blushed and said he also looked cute. Hmm I need to see what his name is...

As I finally got up to where the thrones and my father were, I passed the little girl off to her mother and faced the crowd. It was a really beautiful sight to see. No dress was the same color. Just as no pair of wing was the same, in size, shape, color, and pattern. I took a quick curtsy and turned around to face my smiling father. I looked him in the eyes, the same eyes that radiated much pride and love.

"As you all know, we are all here today for the carnation of my lovely and beautiful daughter Jeldorine!" He waited for the applause to die down before he started speaking again. "After today, Jeldorine will start helping me rule the Kikoy Kingdom, until she finds her prince! The father side of me wishes this will not happen for a few more years..." he trailed off and a few people started to laugh. "But the King side knows it can not wait forever. But I am very proud of the young lady she has grown up to be. She is very loved by everyone in the castle, and in the village. She has a very loving heart, just as her mother had. And I know her mother would be just as proud as I am now." He turns towards me, handing me a cup of ceremonial wine.

The ceremonial wine is made from the best grapes grown in the village vine yard. The cup was a solid gold, with the crest of the Kikoy people engraved into it. There were ruby and emeralds all over the cup, making it sparkle under the lights. It really was a beautiful cup.

"Now if you will just take a sip of the wine dear."

I node my head, doing as he asks. Bringing the cold cup to my lips, I let the just as cold wine flow into my mouth. Oh  holy glitter, that taste so good. I wanted to take another sip,  but a clearing throat from my father changed my mind. I bring the cup back down, sending him a small sheepish smile. I hear a few people in the crowed trying not to laugh.

Handing the cup back, my father starts to speak again. "I will gladly say, welcome to the ruling dear." He gives a fatherly hug as everyone else claps. "Now everyone, enjoy the party!" The music starts playing, everyone dancing. I turn around to face my father. What I didn't expect to see was a light blue box with a pink ribbon around it in his hands.

"Here you go dear. This is a gift to you for your coronation," he hands it to me."Go ahead and open it."

Looking at the pink bow, I decide I don't want to ruin it. It's to pretty. So very carefully I slide it off the box, calling a servant over. After telling him to take it to my room, I lift up the box lid. What I saw took my breath away.
