Saiki ran through the doors of the palace, yapping playfully as the Zyon, who was small but fast, ran after him, snapping at his heels. Both Emris and Jaeger were sat atop Saiki's back, talking about something, seemingly serious. "Saiki, stop." Emris called, and the giant cat did so, allowing Jaeger and Emris to get off of him before Saiki and Zyon continued to run around, playing together in a small open space. Emris nodded to the two guards who were stood outside the throne room, and they nodded back at her in respect before opening the doors before her.
Stood inside was the Prince and his partner as well as the King and Queen, who were smiling over at Emris and Jaeger as soon as they walked in. "My Queen, My King." Emris bowed, gesturing for Jaeger to do the same. They'd never met the King and Queen before, and she knew that it was finally time for them to meet. "Emris, how many times have I told you. Stop bowing to us when you are practically our daughter." The King smiled, and she rose, grinning. "I know. Where is she?" Emris replied, dragging a confused Jaeger to their feet by their arm. She'd told them many horrible things about the Royal couple, and she didn't think that they'd believed her. It turns out they did.
"She is just getting changed, she shouldn't be long. We've already talked with her." The Queen smiled, and Emris nodded, looking to Stolas, who was practically beaming with happiness. "This is strange. I've not seen him this harry since him and you married, Mis," Emris grinned, Stolas hissing at her as Aramis laughed. "Well, don't worry, I don't think I've ever seen you smile before, so we're both even." Emris chuckled at her friend's comment, just as Carmea walked in, a small smile on her face. Emris had never seen anyone o beautiful. She looked so different compared to all the other women she had seen and been with over the years, and Emris felt that it was due to their strong bond as children.
When you are young, you are more than likely to find your Lalifa, someone who you would have an unbreakeable bond with. They would be your best friend, but you would never be able to fall in love with them, something Emris thought she had done when they were younger, despite their young age. Emris and Carmea were each other's Lalifas, and the former knew it, but wished it were different, she wished she could be with the beauty she had seen after such a long time.
"This dress is so much different compared to those that I wore when I was in the human lands. Softer." Carmea smiled, walking over to the King and Queen, who both smiled down at her. "Well, now hat you're changed, I would like for you to meet your Lalifa, Emris." The Queen told her, a hand on the small of her back guiding her over to where Emris and Jaeger stood. Jaeger couldn't hold their laugh when they saw Saiki's head pop up halfway through one of the taller windows, Zyon balanced carefully on his head, but they were ignored as Carmea walked over to Emris and swept her into a hug.
"I remember quite a bit about you, Emris, and I must say that it's definitely nice to see you again." She smiled, and Emris raised her brows as the two pulled back from each other. "You have changed. You never used to talk so... posh." Emris said, the last word falling out of her mouth with distaste, Carmea laughed, almost hysterically, clutching on to Emris' arm. "Carrie?" Emris asked, lifting her head, but she was instantly pushed back, falling to the floor as Carmea grew, a dark gold mist glowing around her as she began to yell incoherent words at the human, the rest of her family also growing as they grinned wicked grins, looking down in glee as Emris cowered away from her.
