Micah was sitting on a bench with Devyn. She kicked the dirt and grass under them.

The autumn leaves scattered across the walkway. "So, how was your day?"
Devyn smiled awkwardly at Micah, "fine I guess, pretty uneventful. You?"
"Well, pretty uneventful for me too. Mostly just staying inside, writing." He started. "You know, I've been meaning to introduce you to someone."
She looked confused, "Who?"

"A friend named Raelyn." He noticed himself smiling. "I think you'd make good friends."
Devyn quirked a brow and cheekly smiled, "Oh really?"
"Yeah! She's nice, and she's fun to hang out with." Micah looked into the clouded evening blue sky.

The weekend seemed both endless yet relieving. "Do you have any plans for the last day of the week?"

"Well, we could go out to eat, I guess. Walk a while. I don't plan things ahead, you know me."

Micah kept looking into the sky, his face blank. "I never plan ahead." Micah said.

"How honest of you," Devyn chuckled.
Micah snapped back into reality. "Oh, yeah," Micah laughed it off. "And do you have any plans?"
"Nope" she answered plainly.

"So, do you want to come with me and Raelyn sometime soon?" He asked, glowing. "Wouldn't miss it for the world," She elbowed him playfully. "Come on let's go,"

Micah gets up and stretches for a second, then begins to follow Devyn. "So, are we going to just walk around the park again today?" Micah asked.
"Sure" Devyn stretched and stood up, her legs wobbly from sitting.

After walking for a minute, Autumn leaves rustling in the trees, just as on the ground, Micah asks, "You remember when we first met?"

Devyn smiled, "How could I forget?"

This chapter was short, but only because I have no clue how to properly transition to a flashback...
