A young Micah jumped out of the car, looking around. "Where?" He asked.
He had been told he was going to see a new friend, as a family friend was coming back from a trip, and this would be the first time he was going to see Devyn.

Devyn sat on a park bench, her family walked over to the T-ball field and played fetch with her older brother, Asher. She dangled her legs off the tall bench, her arm outstretched and propped up her chin.

Micah was lead over to Devyn, and he smiled, and waved, actually unsure what to do.

Devyn looked up to see a little boy wave to her, she got up and stared as they approached.

He looked down for a few seconds, then looked up, "My name is Micah, What's yours?" He asked, smiling slightly.

"D-Devyn!" Her stutter was a result of the giddy feeling from his smile. A new friend, AWESOME! She thought.

"Devyn.." He said, confused. "Isn't that... a boy name?" He asked, kinda quiet.
She froze, kinda embarrassed from the question, "uh, yeah I guess," she said awkwardly.

He looked down again, for a few seconds. "Um..." He looked back up. "I think it's a nice name!" A smile forced its way into his face.
She smiled, feeling a little better. She gazed over at the playground that sat not far from them, "Do you... Want to swing?" She asked.

"Sure!" He beamed, "I'd love to!" Micah started over, towards the swings.
Devyn followed soon after, she sprinted to the playground and threw herself into the seat of a swing, trying to gain momentum.
Micah remembered he doesn't know how to properly use a swing. He started at it for a few seconds, deciding to just lay on it, and push himself forward, like normal.

Devyn stared at Micah, and the way he got on the swing. She tried to sustain a giggle, but it escaped.

He looked over, and he giggled a bit himself. "I don't know how to do that." He stated. "So, I do this. Sometimes, I do this, too," He began to twirl the swing, and eventually it became too high to touch the ground, so it spun him around, as he laughed.

She jumped off and began to do the same, her long hair whipped through the air, making a noise like wind in grass. She screamed a flailed, giggles filled the air from the both of them.
"See?" He said, while still a bit giddy from the spinning. "It's fun!"
Devyn replied with a slurred "yeahhh!" It was the first time she had done that, and frankly, she felt like her head was about to explode.

He laughed, a huge grin on his face. "You get used to it." He said, "But, how do you do it normally?" He asked, tilting his head.

She stumbled off the swing and grabbed onto the chains. She twirled around to face away from the swing, run, and jump onto the seat. "Like that! You try!" She squealed in excitement.
"Alright!" He was excited to try, and so he followed her actions the best he could, and jumped into the seat, and laughed.

She clapped, a giant grin painted on her face. "You did it!" She tried to extend her arms up and balled her hands into fists. "Yeah!" She squealed.
He giggled. "Your nice. And... are you going to leave here?" He asked. "I wouldn't want you to leave!"

"Of course not silly! Your my friend!" she smiled and pointed at Micah.
He smiled ear to ear. "Yayyy!" He exclaimed, kicking his legs back and forth on the swing, causing his to move slightly. He didn't notice though.
Devyn mimicked him, she also put her arms up again. The swing shook more from the sudden, jerking movements.
He noticed what was happening. "I guess you can do that too." He stated.
She looked at him confused, and she quirked a brow. "Do what?" She asked completely oblivious.

"Well, you did what I did, moving your legs, and it made the swing move." He started to do it in a better rhythm, and it slowly increased height. "Woah."
She waved her hand in front of her face, "pshh! I knew that! I was just asking to see if you knew!" She crossed her arms and looked up, her eyes closed.

"Oh.. okay." He looked at the ground move. "You're... very smart!" He smiled at her. "I would've never known that!"
"Thank you!" Devyn giggle was sweet and high pitched. A woman with blonde hair and a tall physique walked over to them, calling to Devyn. "Honey it's time to go, you'll see him soon." She said. "Awwww, we were having fun!" Micah whined. He slumped a bit.

Devyn hopped out of the swing and grabbed her mother's hand. They started to walk away from the playground, then they stopped. Devyn turned around and gave Micah a smile and wave.
Micah sat up, and waved back. "Bye." He mumbled.

Micah's Mother came over, and said, "We'll see them soon, I promise." She told him. He looked up, and nodded. "Alright." He said, lightening up a bit. And so, she walked him over to the car, and they left.
