Can't Sleep

The fan drones on
In my dimly lit room as I lay on my bed
Ankles crossed, propped up on my elbows
My belly laying down.
My eyes are wide
Overthinking
All the ways I'm afraid
Afraid I'll lose my mind
Afraid I'll let them "win"
I can't look at them
They disgust me
My eyes drill through one broken piece on my white blinds, drawn
A neighbor's porch light flickers
As branches are thrown around in the wind
I can't sleep
When I'm battling the voices in my head
I know my poetry sucks
I know I'm kinda lazy
I know there are so many words i need to spill out
But I know everyone is tired of hearing them because they're
The same fucking words
