Girl, look at these yearbook pictures! I looked ugly!" I shouted to Justice. She looked over my shoulder. "I don't see a difference." She said. I gasped and hit her shoulder playfully as she went into the kitchen. Tonight was movie night. Happens almost every Friday with me and 3 roommates/best friend. Then Saturday Night is party till 3AM!

This would happen almost every week. Tessa came into the living room with just shorts and a shirt. "You're actually wearing clothes this time," Aniya said. Tessa sucked her teeth and waved Aniya off. "So? When is this damn popcorn gonna be ready? Girl I'm hungry!" Screamed Aniya.

"Keep screamin and you ain't gettin any." Justice warned. I swear, I love these girls to death but sometimes they could be a little loud. I was probably the quietest. But I do know when to open my sassy mouth and when to shut it. We decided to pick a scary movie just to scare Tessa, who hated scary movies. She said she would be able to handle it. I highly doubt it. I'm very emotionless when watching movies. Maybe because I'm so used to watching scary movies ever since I was little. Some parents don't do that but mine do. I was spoiled since day 1 and I'm still am. Daddy would give me $400 a week, he would mail it out since driving 2 hours and 20 minutes is to far. Not much, and I'm not even complaining because we all got our own jobs going right now. I'm not big yet. I'm only working at Famous Footwear. It gave me a reason to wear almost all of my 10 Jordan's.

Justice, Tessa and Aniya, I met in highschool and we've been friends since. After the movie, it was 10pm and we knew then to stay up. I have a college degree so I could be a social worker. I love children, what can I say? "Briar, look at you getting to bed. Girl.. You need to let loose," Tessa said. "Tess, you know how important this to me. I want to try and find the right official job for me" I say.

Tessa rolled her eyes and did a quick smile. One thing that pissed me off about Tessa is her constant attitude. And I don't have time for it. "So are we turnin up tomorrow?" Justice asked. "You know it." I say and went down the hall and into my bedroom. I don't share a room. This house is a 3 bedroom house. But Tessa and Justice share a room.

I crawled into bed, hearing the faint voices of them talking. I fell fast asleep.

Ring! Ring! My phone woke me up. I groaned and ignored it, not bothering to see the Caller I. D. Finally it stopped. I went right back to sleep.

Ring! Ring! I clenched my teeth. Who could be calling at this time? I looked at my clock on my nightstand. Freakin 2:04am. Wonderful. I snatched my phone, "Hello?" I spat.

"Hello? Is this Briar Heftman?" Asked a voice. I cleared my voice. "Why yes. Yes it is. Who is this? And why are you calling me so early?" I ask.

"I'm sorry, Ms.Heftman but we have some complication at St.Cleveland's hospital. Would you mind coming down?" Asked the voice, "and when you do. Ask for Annie. That's me"

I was speechless for a second trying to register what she said. Hospital? That's the hospital me and my sister were born. Why would they tell me to come down on a Saturday morning as early as this? "Hello? Briar?" Asked Annie. "Present. Uh yes. I'll be done in a couple hours." I said with a honest tone. "Couple hours?!" Annie gasped. I rolled my eyes. "Yea that's what happens when you call me. Hope you realized I'm not living with my parents." I say. There was nothing on the line. "Bye." I say finally and hang up. I don't care if that was rude. Something happened at the hospital and now I have to be dragged there.
