Caught In Between

{Chapter 3} Run in

It's already been 1 week since you and Michelle started the project. You both were positive you were going to win the contest. No one was better at these projects than Michelle and no one was more determined than you. It was time for the judges to announce the contest winners...

The judges sat on their seats and one of them tapped the microphone. "Attention? Attention students. We are now going to announce the winners of this years winners for the Science Academic Awards." A nerdy old man's voice said. "The winner is... Charles Gucky and Marvin Fargs."

Everyone paused for a second and looked at each other in confusion.. there was murmering in the crowd. 'What?' 'Who are they?' 'No one named Fucky or Marvin even go to this school.." 

The judges looked at each other and discussed then the nerdy sounding judge looked through his messy files of papers and cleared his throat. "I'm sorry! there has been a mistake. I was looking at the wrong files and.." "GET ON WITH IT!" one of the mean girls rudely interrupted. "Ah-ah-as I was saying. The winner of this years Science Academic Awards is (Y/N) and Michelle Martinex.

You and Michelle both stood up and squealed in excitement. "Will you please get your award at the end of the ceremony. ... Which would be now class dismissed." Everyone ran at of the gym, while you and Michelle walked up to the judge a long with a group of other kids. "Girls, Because your science project was the highest scored in this school and all the schools in Melbourne. You are the winners of that janoski contest thing whatever they're called. So yeah here's your award have a nice day." The judge gave you both a certificate and a medal.

You were jumping up and down in excitement and Michelle then joined in. "I can't believe we get to hang out and go on a 'date' with the Janoskians!" "Haha yeah" "Wait but is this alright with you Michelle, I remember you said you didn't like them and.." "Nah it's fine! I decided to give it a try." "Awww you're a great friend Michelle!" "Bestiess!"

**Four days Later**

 You're in your room looking at the mirror applying your make up. Your phone buzzed and you got a text. "Ready? -Michelle"  You texted back.-"Yep just finishing up, so excited!!!!" "Kay, be there in 10" After a few minutes you put on your best lipgloss and puckered your lips. Finished! You looked great.

You wore a pretty white ribbon blouse with black skinny jeans. A black Cardigan and put on your favorite pair of high heel boots. All of a sudden you heard the doorbell ring. Your mom yelled from downstairs. "Honey! Michelle's here!" You combed your hair one last time. "Coming!!" You yelled back. You grabbed your purse and headed downstairs.

 "Hey hey!" Michelle said. You looked up and dropped your jaw for a second. "WOAH! Michelle, I've never seen you so girly and dressed up!" Michelle was wearing a strapless pink casual dress with a white cardigan on top and white sandals. "Aww stop!" She said blushing. "But you know it's fall right? Are you going to be alright just wearing that?" "Yeah, i'm fine I brought a coat just incase."

"It's time for you two to get going!" Your mom said. "Don't be late. Be back before 11 and bring me a latte if you stop by starbucks on the way back! and don't do anything stupid." You giggled. "Okay Mom, We'll be back in a few." You and Michelle said goodbye to your mother and then walked out the door.

You both decided to walk together into the city since it was only a 20 minute walk away. You and Michelle were chatting about stuff like what to say, if you should tie your hair up, do you guys look fine all that girly stuff. You finally got to the building. '101 Boulevard Avenue' Wow this place was fancy. It was like one of those 5 star hotels. You both walked in and looked up at the high ceiling. "Woahh, you can see like 10 stories up" you said in amusement. Suprisingly Michelle seemed calmed. Not as fascinated as you, but still interested. She had like a 'not bad' type of look on her face as she looked around.

A man in a fancy suit walked up to you both. It looked like he worked here as if he was the front desk person. "Appointment Madams?" He said smiling. You looked through your purse and handed him the papers. "Ah right, Go to Floor 6, Room 615 and it should be on the east side of the floor." The man said. "Oh okay, Thank you" 'Floor 6, 615, East side' You said repeating it to yourself in your head so you wouldn't forget. "I'm going to go to the bathroom, why don't you go explore and find where the elevators are?" Michelle said before she scuttled into the bathroom hall. "Okay then, I'll just go look around.."

You looked around and went the other direction into the hall next to the front desk. You saw a sign that said "<-- Elevators | Stairs -->" then took a left turn. Ah there they were the elevators. You took out your phone and texted Michelle "Found the elevators :)"

~~ Michelles POV ~~

I'm fixing my hair in the mirror as I start to get a text. It's from (Y/N) "Found the elevators :)" Ugh, she's so stupid sometimes. I mean I love her but now she's just becoming an annoying twit. She doesn't realise what she's going to get herself into and who the Janoskians really are. Well, I suppose I should text her back. "Haha k, I'm just fixing my hair i'll meet you in the waiting area k?" I checked one last time in the mirror. Everything has to be perfect...

~~Back to Your POV~~

Michelle just texted you to meet her in the front desk area. You started to walk and text her at the same time until you clumsily ran into someone and dropped your phone. "Oh I'm so sorry." A familliar voice said as he picked up your phone. You looked up and saw it was Jai Brooks. You hesitated for a second.. thinking what to say. "Oh hi Jaii!" You said nervously. "Haha, hey" he smiled as he handed you back your phone. "(Y/N) Am I right? So sorry for running into you." "Yeah and haha it's fine, gosh we have got to stop running into each other like this." you said as you started to blush. You heard Michelle yelling your name from the lobby.--"Y/N?? Y/N???"

"Oh well I've got to get going.. My friend is calling me."

"Oh that's fine." Jai said a bit dissapointedly. "Wait why are you here anyways?"

"Actually I'm one of the conte-" "(Y/N) There you are!" Michelle said as she interruped you.

Jai looked at Michelle and had a surprised-shocked face. (And when I say that I mean like an "Oh God. it can't be." face) Jai looked uncomfortable and started to turn around.

"Oh hello Jai. It's been a while.." Michelle said. You were confused.. "Wait.. You know Jai Brooks?" "Well I have some history with the Janoskians.." She said. Wtf?? Michelle had 'history' with the janoskians? She dated them or one of them??? Why would she keep such a secret. This would explain why she hated them whenever I talked about them.

"Anyways don't you think we should be going?" Michelle said. Jai didn't say a word. He just walked into an elevator and Michelle and I followed.
