Caught In Between

{Chapter 4} Re-unions

We stood in the elevator for 10 seconds and It was already pure awkwardness. Michelle stood in the middle, Jai on the left, and you were on the opposite side of Jai. Jai hit the 6th floor button and had his hands in his pocket with an annoyed type of look on his face. Trying to make conversation you idiotically said "Oh you're going to the 6th floor too? So are we haha." This time Jai didn't say a word.

He just stared coldly at the wall next to him as if he was ignoring. Michelle just rolled her eyes and smiled. She took out her phone and started to text something. She looked at you and your phone buzzed. "Y/N You notice that Jai knows that we won the contest? So technically he is and should be leading us to that room." the text said. "Ohh right.. I was just trying to make conversation and wasn't really thinking.." You texted back. Michelle was reading the text.

Then the elevator rang. You looked up and it said 4th floor. The door opened to a brunette wearing a snapback checking his phone as he started to walk in. He pressed the 'Lobby✰' button and looked to his left "Oh hey Jai, getting ready to leave for Sydney. Haha are you excited about your 'date'?" Jai looked uncomfortable. The door closed and as the elevator started going up the brunette turned around and looked at you. You were shocked for a second. Get it together! Your conscience told you.

You said in a calm voice- "Oh my god... You're Beau Brooks from the Janoskians!" Beau smiled. "Heh yeah, and you are? ;)" "I'm (Y/N)." you said not trying to explode screaming. "I see, you're awfully pretty (y/n)" Beau said as he winked at you. You started to blush. "It's too bad I have to go over to do this date contest with a fan in Sydney." He said in a dissapointed tune. "So who's your friend here?" He asked. Michelle looked up from her phone and smiled. "Hey Beau bear." Beau all of a sudden went quiet as soon as he saw Michelles face. What's going on like? Did Michelle actually use to date the Janoskians or something? You had a feeling Michelle had a past with the Janoskians. At least the Brook brothers as far as you know.

Beau turned around and the elevator rang. "Oh well look it's the 6th floor. I'll catch ya guys later, It was nice meeting you (Y/N)." Beau said as he waved at you. "Text me when you get there, Beau." Jai said.

Beau stood in the corner stretching which was always an "AWKWARDDD." sign, while Jai walked out of the elevator. I followed Jai and Michelle out. After the doors of the elevator closed Michelle grabbed Jai's arm. "Jai. We need to talk." Jai stopped walking. He didn't seem to happy about talking.

He turned around and tossed you a key. "The room is down the hall around the corner. This key opens to the room on the right. Your friend and I will catch up in a second. "Oh, okay," You started walking down the long hall looking for room 615.

~~Jai's POV~~

We sat down in a little area that had a couch and two chairs infront of the elevators. There was no one here, but usually there would be people on their break reading a book here or something. I haven't seen Michelle in forever, but that was the point. I never wanted to see her face again. So why did she come? Why did she do all of this just to see us again. All these questions were flowing through my head until she interupted my thoughts.

"Well?" She said. "Are we going to talk or what?" She's always been very straightforward. "What do you want, Michelle. It's not like you to come after something you left so long ago." She had a small devious laugh. "Oh Jai. You always did have a curious head.. But I only came because my friend (Y/N) is a big fan of you guys." "That's not what you want. Tell me why are you here." She smiled trying to change the subject. "It seems you and (Y/N) have met. I talked to your mother, Gina's been telling me all about how you won't shut up about some random you met when you left the underage."

Wtf.. why is Michelle talking to my mother. That's just creepy and why is mom still talking to her. She's manipulating me, There's something she wants. "Stop changing the subject and tell me what you want."

"Oh, I don't want anything." Before she could continue I interrupted. "Then why are you here, you're the one who said you needed to talk to me so stop changing the subject and get on with it. Otherwise I'm leaving."

She sighed, but not the sad kind. More of like a "Fine I'll get on with it." kind of sigh. I watched her as she picked up her purse and took some papers out. "I have a proposal for you Jai Brooks, and the rest of the Janoskians...."

Sorry if chapter 4 was a bit short! In honor of the #JanoskiansAnnouncement ( which is today ) I decided to work on this chapter, and i'm in the middle of finishing chapter 5 :)
