*In which Hades tells Persephone how he feels after he rescues her. Takes place in around episode 53.

"H-Hades." Persephone mumbled as she tried to match the speed of the man ahead of her. He was walking faster than usual. Way faster. She, with her small legs, couldn't keep up. Ms Kore knew she messed up. This time, worse then usual. Now, she felt completely terrible.

He stopped in mid step, turning back to glare at her. But with the look of pain and sorrow on her face, his brows instantly fused upwards in regret, blushing. He then turned to face the little woman, letting his face relax a bit just to raise an eyebrow at her, waiting for a response.

"I know you're mad at me right now. But could you please walk a little slower?" She said her words in a soft tone, not wanting to upset him anymore than he already was. She knew she was stressing him. So she'd make this quick. "I'm having trouble keeping up with you. S-sorry about the car. It's been a while since I've had fun. I know that's not an excuse. I get it if you want me to leave." She pulled out the little piece of cloth from her pocket, twisting it, over and over, unable to stop herself.

Hades was taken off guard by that. He had found himself doing the same, many times, without even realizing. She was just like him. Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, was like him. He couldn't believe it.

"J-just get your drivers license." He finally managed to speak, turning back around towards the direction they were headed. In a split second, he felt his arm be taken by the small woman next to him. That, of course, made him blush even more. But he didn't resist, for how could he? His mind was telling him he loved her. But he couldn't believe that. Not now. Not with Minthe. "I'm sorry." Hades sighed, looking down to the ground as they walked. Now, he told himself. Speak to her. With one deep breath, he started rambling.

"I-i really like you. I mean it. I don't mean to be cold to you. I just.. have things going on that I don't you to get caught up in. Being around me is dangerous for you. That's why I didn't want you to work here. You'll get hurt. You almost got hurt right there! I won't let this continue. I-i care too much about you. Minthe is who I'm with. Not that I wan't that. But I have to be. For her sake. I can't just abandon her for a nineteen year old Goddess. N-not that I wouldn't." He sighed again, rubbing his eyes. "Goodness, this is all coming out so wrong. I can't just leave her alone. Not after what we've been through. Not now. I'm sorry. If there was another way, I'd take it. But, at the moment, I don't think there is."

Persephone listened to every word, taking it in. She understood. Sort of. "Hades.." She muttered, squeezing his arm reassuringly. "You don't have to do anything for me. You don't have to try and keep my safe. You don't have to end a relationship for me. I get it. A-and you don't need to apologize. Though I love that you're not afraid to. Nothing has to happen between us if that's not what you want. I'm sorry for pushing.."

"But I do want it!" Hades blurted out, without thinking of anything he was saying, his cheeks flushing a dark shade. "I-i wan't you! I wan't us!" And at that, he started to cry. He sank down to the ground, Persephone right next to him, instantly wrapping her arms around him, one across his back, the other round his chest. But she smiled, laying her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.

"oh, Hades.." She grinned warmly, nestling against him. "It's alright, don't cry.. I'm right here. You can have me, if you wan't. I'll be right here when you're ready."

Hades heart stopped at her simple words,  his breath hitching. Slowly as possible, he turned to her. At that time, he couldn't help but cup her cheeks and pull her into a kiss. Of course, Persephone was taken completely off guard by this. She stumbled back a little, almost breaking the kiss. But slowly, yet quickly, she melted into the feeling. Now, with Apollo, their kiss felt different than this. Theirs was rough. Forced. This.. with Hades.. felt wonderful. Soft and gently. Wanted. No lust or sexual intentions. Just genuine feelings. Feelings she couldn't explain at the time. Not that she needed to.

        This, was pure bliss.
