Part 2 Change

I woke up, the unmistakable pain of hunger hit me like a bus.
I was being tested on which meant I was tired and hungry. After testing I couldn't eat for 3 days and was only able to sleep for a few hours, due to having to be monitored 24/7 and checked for a pulse.

I was lucky because it was my last day of being monitored for success. I was naturally very excited. I was excited to finally be able to get out of the room I had been in for a solid 4 days, I was excited to talk to my friends I had not seen in 4 days, I was excited to have some kind of peace.

All of the sudden, a guard rushed down the stairs in a panic. This was a very unusual sight to see in the compound. Hydra guards were always soulless and very professional so to see one sprinting down the stairs yelling curses was a bit frightening.
I was told intruders were attacking the base and that everyone but me was told to go out and fight them.
"Yes sir".
Was all I could say as I grew very upset. Of course I knew why I wasn't allowed to fight...
I was just too unpredictable in this state after testing and they didn't want to risk it. This however did not stop me from being annoyed.
I was told to stay in the lower part of the base. The chair across the room seemed like a good place to wait out the fight so I walked over to it and took a seat.
I had many thoughts racing through my mind like what if I never see them again? Do they know I'm awake now? How long will this take? Who's attacking the base?
My thoughts were interrupted by yelling, gunshots, and banging. I obviously was scared but didn't lose my cool. Instead of being worried for myself I was more worried for my friends. I hadn't even gotten to say goodbye to them.
All the sudden I heard someone walk down the stairs so I panicked, so I knocked myself out by releasing all of my energy. Ultimately, getting knocked out.

Steve's point of view

I was nervous today more than usual. We had been chasing the scepter for what seemed like years.
Today was the day we finally get rid of this thing once and for all. There was no room for error.
I walked out of the jet and started to take in my surroundings. Not thinking about the worried look on my face as my thoughts of failure consumed me.
Natasha came up behind me and put a hand on my shoulder,

" ready cap?".

She said.

"Of course." "Alright team. Remember what we're hear to do, get the staff, shut this place down, oh and don't die".

I said to the rest of my teammates before heading straight into battle.
I had just taken out a whole fleet of soldiers with the help of Thor.
I began to head towards the base to look for the scepter. Tony was also in the compound  and was grabbing the scepter. So I had made other plans.
Just then I heard over our coms that there was other enhanced people on the grounds who were hostile.
Natasha's worried voice came over coms,

"Clint's hit and he needs medical attention now!".

I had to make this quick then....
I walked in the base and saw strucker with an enhanced. She looked like a normal girl. I was able to fight her off and knock strucker out. She was no normal girl though.
  While I turned to head out the building I noticed a staircase. Curiosity got the best of me and I went down. As I walked down I heard a loud BANG. Hesitant I continued down the stairs preparing for the worst.
I turned the corner and was shocked to see a girl with (h/L) (h/c), hair knocked out cold on the floor.
Without thinking I picked her up noticing her poor condition and ran to the jet. I don't know why but I felt the need to get her to safety. In hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea to grab this random girl but I was just too focused on her safety.
I ran to the jet and set her down in a chair.

"Steve where'd you find this?"

Tony said sarcastically.

"She's sick I wasn't just going to leave her".

I said in a calm voice.

"Alright can we go now please?!"

Natasha said while holding onto Clint.

"On it!"

Said tony

And with that we left to the tower to treat Clint's wounds. I obviously had to explain to the team why I brought this girl with us and they thought maybe she would have some information on hydra. We set her up in the medical bay and planned to question her when she awoke.
