Steve's POV
"(Y/n) (y/Ln), that's her name. She was kidnapped by strucker at age 14 after he shot her parents. It says here that her powers are unknown other than her telekinesis, and energy absorption"
Said Maria.
"That's all?"
I said confused.
I mean how could they have so little information about her but tons of information on the others? It just didn't make any sense.
"Well Steve I don't know I wish I did"
I stopped walking and turned to face Maria,
"Do we at least know what causes her powers?"
"No Steve, that's why we need to keep a close eye on her".
"Yeah okay",
I replied, clearly eager to get out of this conversation and talk to the girl I now knew as (y/n)...
"I'll go check on her"
And before Maria could say anything I was off to her 'temporary room'.
I knocked on the door hoping she'd be up.
"Hi, are you awake?"
I said in pure curiosity.
"Кто ты, чего хочешь?"
"Who are you, what do want?"
Her voice was weak and rough sounding.
"My name is Steve Rogers"
"I know who you are soldier, but what do you want?"
And just like that she switched to English.
"Well right now I would like to come in and ask you a few questions"
I replied with a chuckle.
"As you wish, doors unlocked".
I opened the door and saw her in the same clothes we found her in.
"Can I get you change of clothes?"
I asked.
"Sure but do you mind if we just get this interview over with first?"
She said in an annoyed tone.
"Oh yes of course"
" your name is (y/n) (y/ln) correct?"
"Correct".
"Well ms. (Y/ln)—"
"Please call me (y/n), I hate being addressed that way, and no it's not you it's just that's how I was addressed over there".
"Oh, I'm sorry, (y/n) it is then"
I said in a cheery tone to help lighten the mood.
"No need to apologize".
She replied still distant.
"Anyway, (y/n), why were you in the basement of the base?"
She turned from the window in her room and looked at me with a sour expression on her face.
"Is that really what you want to know or are you just trying to get me to trust you because it's not working".
I was honestly taken aback at how closed off she was,
"I do want to know and yes there are other things I want to ask you".
Her expression changed from sour to serious,
" okay, i just finished being experimented on, I'm not allowed to fight after experiments".
"Oh I see, why were you unconscious?"
"Well, I knocked myself out after I heard someone heading down the stairs. I knew there were intruders".
