Where was I supposed to go now? I thought to myself as I drove around just looking at the places I passed by. I didn't go out much so seeing all these places made me want to more but I hated doing things that involved going out in public alone. It made me feel even more lonely than staying inside my room all day.

I could go home now I thought. There was no place I liked but I barely went out to see the real world. Now that I was outside the house, I guess I could stay out of it for a little.
Although, I wish I had brought my homework to finish instead of wasting my time. It honestly pissed me off at how he did that, just used me. Well that's what I get for trusting someone. Frustrated, I went to a nearby shop to buy something to cool my body off. Then I saw an ice cream shop that looked like there wasn't plenty of people, which I was glad about; being around a lot of people was something I didn’t wanted right now.

When I entered the ice cream I saw that there were only a couple sitting in the back eating their ice cream. They both looked so happy together since they were laughing. It made me smile seeing their happiness.

I looked at the menu they had on top and saw the different types of flavors they had. After a few seconds, a boy came out of the door that leads to where they placed the rest of the ice creams when they needed to refill. The boy had black hair with some blonde highlights on the front of his bangs. He had an adorable face that mirrored a puppy.

"Hello what would you like to order," he boy who's nametag read Calum. He looked at me quickly before looking at the cash register in front of him.

"Cookies and cream," I replied.

"What size would that be in," he said looking at the cash register in front of him as he pressed buttons.

"Medium."

"Any toppings?" he asked looking up at me.

"None," I wasn't in the mood for any toping other than oreos.

"That would be 3.50," Calum said and I pulled out a 5 dollar bill from my wristlet I brought with me and gave it to him. He gave me my change, which I just put on the tips box they had.

I sat down on the chairs they had near a book self they had which I thought was cool. I sat down there looking through the books waiting for my ice cream. In a few seconds, Calum came back with my ice cream but there seemed to be a larger amount of ice cream I expected.

"Is this how big your medium is?" I asked not complaining at all.

"Nope it's our large," he said smiling and stood there.

"But I ordered a-" I tried explaining but he cut me off.

"I know what you ordered but I thought you needed an upgraded size. You seemed to be bothered."

"Oh, thanks," I said smiling at him.

Then he went inside the doors and I looked at the ice cream he gave me. I smiled then looked at the books and saw the many book before I saw a familiar  book I read I haven't read in a long time, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I decided I would read it until I would get a call from Ashton or even if I was.

When I was in the third chapter of the book Calum came back and stood in front of a chair. I put my book down and realized how we were they only people here right now. The couple seemed to have left while I was reading and didn't notice it.

"Hey," he said awkwardly. He seemed to be one of those guys that didn't talk much and this was most likely something he never did before. Somehow he reminded me of myself – socially awkward.

"Hi," I said nicely, grateful at how kind he was to me. He gave me extra size up on my ice cream, for free. It's close enough to free food, who wouldn't be thankful. "Thank you for giving me more ice cream."

"Your welcome," he smiled at me. There was denying that he looked cute. I felt like I saw him before but I don't know where. A face like his couldn't one I missed. "Uh, how do you like your ice cream?"

"It's great." This was so awkward, what else was I suppose to say.

"I'm glad," he said shyly. "Can I sit down?"

"Of course," I motion to the chair signaling that he may sit there. He sat there looking at me and I felt a little uncomfortable. This is the reason why I didn't socialize. I took another spoonful of ice cream in my mouth.

"So what brings you here?" he asks, obviously trying to make small talk.

That's when I thought for a second. Should I tell him the whole thing or not? I didn't know him too well and I wasn't the type of person who pours my sorrow out to someone when I just met them, "I wanted to go out for a bit."

"Alone?" he questioned.

I bit my lip not liking how I was lying to him already, "yeah, I guess so."

"Did anything happen?" he looked concerned in a way I never saw any of my friends look at me. My group of friends wasn't your typical one.

"Yeah, but I don't want to talk about it sorry," I said hoping he'll understand. "Do you want some ice cream?" I hope to change the subject. The last thing I wanted was to talk about Ashton, I wanted him out of my thoughts for the meantime.

"No, I fine. I surrounded by it almost everyday, I get tired of it," he laughs lightly.

"Calum! Can you help me here?" I hear another male voice coming from inside. I knew that there could have been another person here with him, I heard someone singing when I got my order.

"I'll be right back," he quickly got out from his chair. I nodded but I doubt that he noticed.

"What is it Luke?" I heard him say louder than I've ever heard him speak.

While I waited for him, I continued reading my book for a little bit. I wanted to leave so bad to end this tension but that would be rude. This was also my chance to get some kind of interaction with someone other than someone from school.

A few minutes later, he came back looking frustrated. I caught a quick glimpse of her work mate who has pale skin and blonde hair.

"Sorry about that, there was a problem inside," he said before sitting back down to the chair.

"It fine," I say as casually as I can.

"Uh, so we're about to close but you can stay here until we leave," he says with his eyes shifting back and forth.

"Oh, okay. Thank you," I say before I can think. Usually, I would have left but with the way things turned out today, it wasn't a normal day. Today, I made choices I wouldn't have taken before so why not continue. Maybe then my life will get me somewhere other than being used. "Do you guys need help?"

"No, it's okay. You can just sit and continue reading."

"I can help you guys really," I say getting up. I have finished my last scoop of ice cream before I threw into the trashcan and stood in front of Calum.

"Are you sure?" he looks quite confused.

"I'm sure," I smile at him.

"I never got your name," he tells me as we make our way to the headquarters of this place.

"It's Rebecca."
