With a sigh, Alex raises from his seat to pack away his things purposeful to be slower in order to catch the boy on his way out. Alex couldn't believe he had finally caught a glimpse of the boy and how he now strangely looked different from the picture within his pocket.The picture had to be dated back to three years as the boys face had matured significantly from plump, blushing cheeks to now well defined cheekbones which only shed a tinge or pink under the influence of fleeting emotions.

Scrutinising the young man, a pair of wide framed eyes narrowed on Riley's frame in question to the absence of him. To this gesture, Riley begrudgingly uttered an apology and explained in detail how his alarm has been repeatedly bitten by his supernatural dog who broke the block of metal into pieces leaving the poor animal to face a number of cuts within its throat so an immediate trip to the vets was necessary.This extensive explanation arising amusement for the wavering u and him uttering a few chuckles.

Riley as well  as the old man turned to see the source of the sound only to see Alex clutching a couple of textbooks whilst unsuccessful attempting to wipe off a wisp of a smile. A wrinkled frown had been the response the two received and the old man simply pointed where the two teans had fled within seconds.

Chuckles of the two were heard within the vacant hallways and like all typical rom com couples the two turned to share a smile. A smile filled with adoration and utter humour.The hallways seemed lifeless compared to the two lively souls yet as the two young men met eyes hesitation buried deep within them.

"Hi what's your name by the way? because I don't believe that dog man will catch on well" chuckled Alex with a small smile brightening his features.

The slightly shorter male blushed in embarrassment and quietly answered the question in an incoherent tone. His demeanour, a clear indication of the nervousness he felt as the social anxiety of his prohibited him to comfortably spark any conversation.

Yet, Alex was already aware of this characteristic of his peer and his shy nature completely attracted him to continue the sweet,small chat.

Casually, the two strolled down the corridor to the free period they shared each spluttering a few words about the latest project they were assigned.

"So umm...Why have you transferred so late in the year? It's ok if you don't want to answer I understand I can be quite nosy and-"Riley curiously questioned only to be silenced by a firm hand resting on his shoulder. Alex smiled at the nervousness the boy had and also how adorably he had tried to evacuate any tension or awkwardness within the air.
