Chapter 5|A musky scent and a request

There it stood before them. The huge estate reeked with money and power of some kind resulting in a whisper of a shudder to overcome Alex himself.

With such a magnificent sight, it was quite an experience for the foolish boy as all his childhood memories had taken place in his small home town, consisting of many dedicated sessions of 'Mario kart' on his consel as well as games of hide and seek with the children of his neighbourhood.

"Excuse me Alex but do you mind sparing me your ears for just a moment?" spoke a voice consumed with impatience yet somehow still having a polite tone to it. Grey eyes from the beholder of the voice continued their threatening gaze to brown ones ,that held a sheer layer of determination on their surface.

"Sure yeah, so what are we doing here?" questioned Alex with a shrug of his shoulders, trying so hard to pull off a calm demeanour.

A meek response of 'it will all be explained later' was barely heard as the suited man glanced at his Rolex and embarked on his instructions of the said man by dragging a bewildered Alex through the entrance of the 'home'.

Furnished to a great extent with high priced valuables, the supposed living room greeted the two men with warm air coming from the crackling fire in its center.The fireplace being littered with photo frames of family's and individuals, all having wide smiles on their happy faces.This display creating quite a contrast as beside it was an extremely long corridor filled to the brim with glazed ,wooden doors that could not even clutch an ounce of happiness.

The two then walked with ease towards the furthest door but not without there being a tugging feeling present in Alex's chest;the feeling however, being not one of excitement but one that caused him to feel an urge to exit the home.Thoughts of these kind enthralled the glistening boy but the bombarding voice of his father instructions soon follow it shortly and directed his eyes to turn straight ahead. With this he quickened his pace to match the one of the speedy man.

With the portraits becoming more drastic and horrific in appearance, a musky scent to match their dreadful essence was emitted throughout the hall and arising the two men's nose to attention immediately.

However, the two chose to stop their intrigued minds from drifting to places and ignored the distasteful scent. They continued there fast strides but the older one being aware of exactly what the source of such a smell had come from and yet again rolled his eyes at his bosses unprofessional behaviour.

Alex's strides came to a halt at the excessively large door and his scenes now ran wild with curiosity and interest. The sound of ragged breaths and needy moans were heard through the thick wood and this grasping his eyes to the nameless man for a reaction but instead the man lifted his arm and tapped on the door with a simple three knocks.

Waves of awkwardness flooded poor Alex as he looked anywhere but at the man.His lame attempts of trying to block out the tireless moans ,which assaulted his ears, left him to adjust the sleeves of his jacket by picking on the fabric till strands appeared to have escaped there stitching.

Speaking of escaping, that was the only motive seeming to cross Alex's mind as the lock to the door clicked open and the door became ajar.

"For crying out loud David, didn't I say to leave him in the living room?" Yelled an invading voice of anger;his appearance was yet to be discovered as he had hid his naked frame from the men and was repeatedly turning back to hush whisperers to his company.

"No you didn't Sir and I am on a very tight schedule by your father so if you can now claim your request I will leave now" calmly spoke David as he bowed his head to his boss in a submissive manor.His purposeful attempt of referring to Alex as a 'request' caused bolts of anger to arise within Alex as he turned to glare at David, who simply held an unfazed expression.
