Linda didn't know how it happened. She was fixing up a gun wound on a detective's shoulder when she burst out in tears. She didn't even know the guy, but that didn't stop her from handing her things to the other nurse and somewhat running into the bathroom. She leaned against the stall door, cursing herself for crying. She couldn't figure out why she had broken down like that- she wasn't hormonal at all, not in the slightest way.
"Linda?" Her friend Chrissy called. "Are you in here? Is everything okay? Want me to call Danny?"
"No!" Linda nearly burst out or the stall. "Don't call Danny! Please!"
"Oh- okay. Why-why not?"
"He'll just yell at me again." She said quietly.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure," the nurse rubbed her eyes. "I'm fine, I'll be okay."
"Okay, if that's what you want..."

Erin Reagan sighed, "this case is going no where."
"Why don't you ask Danny for help?" Detective Anthony Abbetemarco suggested.
The ADA laughed, "don't make me laugh! He's not gonna be any help."
"Why not?"
"Cause he and Linda are having some sorta beef with each other, and he's taking his crankiness out on everybody."
"Ah.... Why?"
"Cause that's how he is. I don't know why."
"And Linda? What's she doing?"
"Giving him the silent treatment along with the cold shoulder."
"Hm. What're they arguing about?"
"I have no idea. Probably something stupid that Danny did."
Anthony laughed, "is that most of their arguments?"
"That or Linda did something Danny didn't agree with."

Linda picked at her lunch, not wanting to eat.
"Aren't you hungry?" Chrissy wondered.
"Mm-mm."
"What happened?"
"I don't know. He probably did something stupid."
"Your husband?"
"Yeah. And I got mad, then we fought, and now we're still fighting."
"How long do your fights usually last?"
"It depends." The nurse shrugged. "Some times hours, some times days, sometimes weeks."
"Who usually gives in first?"
"Danny, surprisingly. He'll give in when I tell him how stupid and dangerous whatever he did was."
"Then?"
"Then... we make up."
"You mean..." Chrissy smirked.
"Angry sex?" Linda wondered and her friend nodded. "Yup."
"So the longer the fight, the angrier, therefore harder, the sex is?"
The lighter blonde shrugged, "more or less."
Chrissy nodded, "at least you guys have good stuff to argue about. Last night, Joey and I were arguing about underwear."
Linda laughed, "we argue about that, too. But it's usually Danny telling me to wear something sexy, or nothing at all, and me protesting."
Chrissy smirked, "you're weird."
"Aren't we all?"
"Yeah, we are. You feel better now?"
"A little."
"Good. Cause we gotta get back to work."
