A long time ago, there was a kind woman who had a dream. A dream where instead of the red planet, Mars, continuing to be red; she wanted to turn the red planet green. Just like the green and blue Earth she was born from.
However, the woman who wanted this dream to come true was a part of Gjallarhorn, an organization filled with foolish rich bloodline people who don't know or understand the suffering of the people of Mars is going through, let alone the main cause of those people's suffering.
But this woman was different, unlike the others, she and her close colleagues knew about the suffering the people of the red planet were going through.
I mean, she did grow up a little in an orphanage there; this orphanage was the birthplace of a resistance group, no, an organization. Created by the children of the orphanage, their only goal was to create a peaceful life for their friends or what's left of their family who they had to leave behind on the red giant to complete that goal. Maybe others had a different goal, but the majority were only after peace.
The woman's idea came from a conversation she had with her past lover, and with a friend who became her right-hand woman, she said unto them.
"If only there was an easier way to terraform Mar's, I know the planet is supposed to be red, but many years ago. I bet it was closer to becoming a second Earth before it lost its atmosphere, but now with the Ozone back up, we can't even grow trees up there. Corn for all the eyes could see is what green up there, but why not other crops?" Her questions were always answered with either possibility or unknowingness.
"Because the solid there is too weak to support such heavy planets, plus there isn't enough sunlight to help the trees to grow at the rate planet Earth does." Her lover told her this but was met with a reasonable answer within her mind.
'Then why don't we send other plants or sprouted trees from similar soil conditions there, but can improve the soil, that's better than sending them fuel crops that will just dry up the soil more.' With this thought in mind, she did research on many different types of plants that live in harsh climates similar to Mars.
Her research continue, even when she left her home planet for the stars, only to return as a whole new person with even more experience.
With this newfound knowledge at hand, and her family fortune, she used all she had, and soon, the red planet could nearly be mistaken for the blue and green planet, if it wasn't for its red atmosphere. It took her 2 and a half years to get both her friends and other scientists to get on board with the project.
Most of this was because she was busy trying to survive the world of politics, with little to no one agreeing with her. The old didn't want to listen to someone from a fallen house, most of the young were as proud as the old to lend a hand, and her only allies were powerless against the older members.
However, thanks to her friends from outer space, her project was finally fully funded, and a trusted friend of hers also helped her once the war was over.
Three to four years it took the sproutlings for soil replenishing to get used to Mars's foreign soil, 2 to 4 more years to get the soil healthy enough to support both shrubs and small trees, and finally. A long total of 20 years later, where her children took over the project, for the red planet, to finally be called, the second Earth.
And now, 30 years later, she was known to both Mars and Earth, as the great icebreaker who helped bring both planets together to make a barren land into a livable home once more, but sadly.
During the second-anniversary celebration parade held on Mars for her success was tragically overshadowed by an incident. An incident that has both Mars and Earth alliance hanging by a single thread, and that thread, was the new generation.

"It burns. Why is it so hot? I can't see, I can't breathe. Why, why is this happening? My family is innocent...E- I'm sorry, I won't be able to see you again after all, we had a lot of fun while it lasted, and I was looking forward to hearing more about your stay on earth. Guess that's life huh, but I wanted to have one more ice cream with you...before I-"
