If tears could heal
would they heal my pain?
Would they help me rise
from the hurt within.
If tears could help
would they help me bear,
all that I cannot endure
all that I cannot share?
Will they feed me lies
to coax me to sleep,
or will they open my eyes
and wake me up from the dream.
Will they strengthen my heart
or weaken my soul.
Will they welcome the darkness
or the light of the dawn?
If tears could cure
would they cure my pain
or would they cure the disease
that causes the tears within.
