"Quit?" Ben repeated."How've you managed to do that?" Gwilym spoke up from his spot.
"Well, that's what she said" Joe shrugged his shoulders as his sat on the leather sofa of his friend Ben. The lads had gathered for another drink, as they were all in the country and making the most of it.
"Did you have to be so awful to her?"
Joe didn't really know the answer to that. He just got like this when he didn't get his own way sometimes. He had thought about apologising but now he didn't have her number. He'd deleted it after she told him to.
"Never mind that, it's not like I'm going to see her again"
"So you're telling me that there was nothing wrong with her, she seemed good enough at her job and you just didn't like her because you're a brat?" Gwilym summed up as Ben nodded along.
"No. I haven't been a brat. I was just put out by having to share the job."
"Yeah I know that, but why did you take it out on her though?"
"I don't know. Because she was who I had to share it with. Can we stop talking about this? Like I said, she quit on the spot, nothing I can do now." He stared off a little.
Joe thought about it for awhile. It wasn't his proudest moment but she was leaving and there was nothing he could do now.
