Charlie's P.O.V.

I woke up early the morning of the first day of school. I looked around the attic, the boxes that were left by the previous owners were in a pile neatly on one side of the attic. Everything was cleaned spotless and, since I had no dresser or closet, my clothes were neatly in a box. I rummaged through the box looking for something to wear but couldn't find anything. I sighed and settled for my skinny jeans, a Panic! At The Disco t-shirt, and my Happy sweater. Typical "gay" clothing as Father put it. I rushed down stairs and yelled that I was leaving as I ran out the door. I was still covered in bruises from last night and wanted to avoid another encounter with Father. When I made it the massive school I questioned if I should've hidden my sexuality.

"Hey guys!" A male voice boomed. "It's a queer." A few people turned to look at me, most holding looks of disgust, some holding looks of pity. I turned to face the voice and in a second, I was held up by my collar, my feet dangling in the air. "You will never be accepted here you fag." I shut my eyes and anticipated the punch, but it never came. Instead I was let down.

"What do you think you're doing?" I heard a venoms voice hiss behind me.

"I'm putting the Fag in his place." The male shrugged and popped his knuckles. I felt a hand place itself on my shoulder and I flinched. A soft kiss was placed on my cheek and I turned to look into two different colored eyes. One was sky-blue with sea-green specks and the other was sea-green with sky-blue specks.

"Or maybe, James, you're just mad because he's hotter than you." The girl with the wondrous smiled and went back down to her height which was just about a foot below me. A blush spread across my cheeks, she's just saying that because she doesn't know you are gay, I told myself. The girl rested a hand on one hip looking cocky. She had wavy pitch-black hair that went to her mid-back, a complete contrast to her bright eyes. I saw a dirty blonde boy smiling and walk over.

"You know she's right. And you also know you don't want to fight Z because she'll kick your ass, again." The boy gleamed, his eyes hidden by his hair and his obvious muscles showing through his tight, white, shirt. He looked yummy. Then he slung his arm around the girl's shoulders, having to bend a little because compared to her small frame he was probably two feet taller than her. "Down girl." The boy whispered in her ear. She shrugged him off and turned to me.

"Are you okay?" She asked, I nodded. Her eyes suddenly changed from concerned to furious. "Who hit you?" I suddenly remember the black eye Father gave me last night.

"N-no one. I-I ran into t-the w-wall..." I stuttered out. The girl was stunning and if I was straight, I would totally go for her.

"Tell me if they bother you again, or tell this bimbo, he'll get me." The girl smiled and nudged the guy. "He can't fight to save his life." She whispered.

"Violence is not the answer." The boy defended himself. I gave a small smile, they make a good couple.

"How rude of us Tom! We haven't even introduced ourselves!" The girl laughed. Tom, that must be the boy's name. "My name is Zylerie, but everyone calls me Z, this is my brother, Tobias, but people call him Four, because of the book." I smiled, they were brother and sister, silly of me to assume.

"W-why d-did you c-call him 'Tom'?" I asked and my eyes widen. "I mean-"

"It's fine." Zylerie smiled. "His middle name is Thomas, but don't tell anyone."

"Will you shut it Z. You probably scared the poor thing." Tobias said and pulled his hair out of his eyes. Now that I saw them, they were the same colors as his sisters' but on opposite eyes. His right matched her left and left with right. It was like their eyes got mixed up when they were being put together.
