Chapter 3

Recap Chapter 1:

“Let's go to my office.” Nodding Phoebe followed her. As they sat down on Ezmerelda's plush couch Phoebe said “What's up?” Ezmerelda looked around nervously taking a deep breath she said “Phoebe, when last have you had your period?” Shocked, she started to think back “Uhm, I don’t know. Why?  What did you feel? Am I pregnant? How far along am I? Is it a boy or girl? Is it twins?” She rambled. Ezmerelda laughed “Relax Phoebe, your about two months and it’s defiantly twins” Phoebe started to giggle “Brad!” She screamed. He came running into the room half turned. Phoebe relaxed him. Then she said “Honey, I’m pregnant and its twins!” Brad fainted... 

Chapter 3

The Peacekeepers

Phoebe watched in horror as Brad went down. Ezmerelda called Sean. He came into the room. Seeing Brad on the floor, he burst out laughing. Phoebe scowled at him “It's not funny Sean!” Apologizing he picked Brad up off the floor and laid him on the couch. Phoebe knelt by his side. A few minutes passed before he woke up.

“What happened?” He asked groggily. “You fainted, man.” Sean answered. “Why?” Was Brad’s question. “Honey, I need you to relax, I have to tell...” Before she could finish Hadley came rushing in “Ezmerelda, we have a problem, Jackson seems to have found his true love.” She said.

Sean looked surprised “Why are you telling her and not me?” Hadley rolled her eyes and said “Because his true love is one of us.” Phoebe and Ezmerelda exchanged looks “Its Lisbeth, isn’t it?” Ezmerelda asked. Hadley nodded. Ezmerelda sent Hadley to go and fetch them and sent the two men out of the room.

“You wanted to tell me something Phoebe?” Brad asked “Later” she said. Sean gave his wife a look to which she said “Lisbeth won’t talk if you are here.” A look of understanding crossed Sean’s face as he and Brad walked out.

Lisbeth came in a few minutes later with Jackson just a few steps behind her. “Sit down.” Ezmerelda said. Nodding Jackson moved to the chairs in front of her desk, waiting for Lisbeth to sit down. “I'll be over here if you need me...” Phoebe said sitting down on the couch.  

Lisbeth sat down and Jackson sat down next to her. “Okay,” Ezmerelda began “what happened?” Lisbeth looked at Jackson, waiting for him to speak. “I don’t know how it happened. One moment I was walking down the stairs and the next moment I knew, I had found her.” Jackson said smiling happily. Lisbeth looked nervous, seeing this Ezmerelda asked “What’s wrong Lisbeth?” Lisbeth looked at Jackson “Are you sure it’s me?” she asked in a soft voice. “Of course I am.” He looked questioningly at Ezmerelda.

She sighed and said “Lisbeth has voiced her concerns on dating. She has been hurt before, my brother proclaimed her his mate, and six months later he turned her into the laughing stock of our pack when he said that he could never be with an Elemental. He had found his mate and was trying to make her jealous.” Jackson looked furious. “What?” he roared. Ezmereld gave him a pointed look to which he calmed down.

Jackson gave Lisbeth a tender look “What I am saying is true, Lisbeth. I have no reason to lie to you. I am not asking for marriage now, Sean would kick my ass if I was so blunt. But, let me court you. Let’s get to know each other. What do you say?” Lisbeth looked at Ezmerelda and then at Phoebe, when they both nodded, she looked him in the eye and nodded. Jackson gave a loud whoop and ran out of the room. Lisbeth gave a shocked look to Phoebe and Ezmerelda rolled her eyes. “Warriors...” she said softly.

As if on cue Jackson gave running in again. “Sorry.” He mumbled to Lisbeth. She giggled and accepted the hand he offered her.  Together they walked out of the room. Phoebe smiled at Ezmerelda “Young love.” She gave Phoebe a smile and asked “So when are you going to tell that dapper wolf of yours that he is going to be daddy?” Phoebe laughed “I wonder how he is going to take it.” Ezmerelda stood up and motioned for Phoebe to follow her. “Imagine if its girls” Phoebe gave her a look of horror “Don’t joke Ez, he will never let them out of the house.” Ezmerelda burst out laughing.

Phoebe left with Brad and soon everything was back to normal. Sean, Deacon and Jackson came walking up to her as she stood in the hallway. “We are going to go. I’ll see you at home?” Sean asked. Ezmerelda nodded as she walked up to him and kissed him. Turning to Deacon and Jackson she said “You are more than welcome to join us for dinner, especially you Jackson, I’ll be bringing a special girl with me as well.” Jackson grinned and Deacon smirked. 

“I'll never be as whipped as the two of you.” As he said that Akirra walked up to Ezmerelda. Deacon stared at her and she glared back, he looked away quickly. Rolling her eyes she said “My class is done, I’ll be heading to the gym.” Ezmerelda nodded. Once she was out of ear shot, Sean and Jackson burst out laughing. “Yeah, yeah, okay. I’m whipped.” Laughing Ezmerelda said goodbye and walked to meet Dianna in the training room. It’s going to be a long day she thought as she changed into her Elite form.
