"Don't you wish you could just disappear from the world sometimes?" His voice was silent and a little raspy like he was tired of talking."Ladies and gents, behold the next Drake," I announce kneeling on one knee while lifting my hands in the air as if Rueben was a god once we climb out my window and onto the grass.
I technically wouldn't classify this as sneaking out more like stepping out for a minute, but hell I'm seventeen. "I'm grown"
Im grown.
the famous expression used when you absolutely have no other explanation to justify your case.
"Everything isn't a joke Red. Come on be serious for once in your life," he pauses waiting for me to respond but I don't. Replacing my voice is the echo of our footsteps syncing together while we cross the street.
"Well," he says dragging out the word waiting for my response but once again, nothing.
Biting my bottom lip in thought, the corners of my eyes scrunch up as I tilt my head towards the sky searching for the fitting answer. There's so many ways to put this overloaded question into words; it seems almost impossible to condense.
Rueben's feet stop moving and stares down at me smiling. I take my attention away from the sky and tilt my head to face his amusing expression.
"You know what, I'm not going to trouble your brain more than it already is," he says as he climbs up the three steps leading to his door while he fumbles to find the right key.
I dart past him and fling myself onto door with my back against it, "I have my answer buttwipe if you really want to know." I utter emphasizing the words I found important.
He stopped fumbling with his keys putting them to the side of his body waiting for me to continue.
" I don't wish I could disappear... If that makes sense." I trail off.
" you don't?" He asks incredulously
"Nope."
"Care to elaborate?"
"You know I'd rather not trouble your brain more than it already is," I reply mockingly, a grin arising onto my face.
"I always enjoy your mockery Robyn Igman," he says sarcastically.

The rush of air made me catch my breath as I stepped out into the backyard of his house."Alright, what I am about to show you is going to blow your mind, literally." He states whipping out the coal-black bandana from his rear pocket.
" show me oh WISE one," moving my arms in a squiggle motion with the 'ooo's and 'ahh's vibrating from my throat.
Standing behind me with the folded bandana, he wrapped it carefully around my eyes. He knotted it tightly as if he was scared it would come off.
My fingers intertwined with his for guidance, he led me off the back of his porch, down the few steps and onto the gentle grass that I always slip off my lavender vans for.
Yes lavender.
"By the way, what do you do to make your grass so sexy," I question in curiosity and also to make conversation.
Dead silence frightens the shit out of me. Literally
"Sexy? What a choice of words," He responds in a curiously questionable demeanor.
I can imagine him smiling at my carless word choice. He must have stopped to look back at me because I ran right into his shoulder, Maybe his upper back either way it shot a pain right in my nose.
"Hey, dude. Dont look at me, keep going,"
"Its sort of hard to do when it's so mesmerizing,"
Even though the darkness of the night hid the face of emotions, the flush in my cheeks were conspicuous.
Before I had a chance to embarrass myself, he was already tugging slightly on my arm motioning me to continue walking.
"You like putting me in awkward situations," I state.
"Not as much as i love your mockery."
His feet altered in a different direction and his hands reach for the knot he formed on the bandana. The firm grip of the wrap loosened easily and gently, it fell onto the grass.
"Here it is," he announced.
