Suddenly a loud voice shouted "Would you all just shut up!" And then many Jonin I presume appeared.. or they could be apart of the T & I department... anyway, the guy with a long scar across his face said "sorry to have kept you waiting." He then continued "My name is Morino Ibiki, I'm the proctor and chief examiner for the first part of the exam."

I nod, I expected such, Ibiki then told the sound-village ninja off and said if they attack another ninja without permission again they'd be disqualified. They apologized and then Ibiki continued.

"So your new.. mm, then it's high time someone laid down a few ground rules. From this point on, there will be no more fighting without permission of the express permission of the examining officer, and even if that permission is granted, anything that endangers another applicants life is strictly forbidden. Any of you little piglets who break that rule are out. Disqualified. No second chances. Got that?"

One of the sound ninja made a comment that annoyed me he said "So this test is for little girly-men?" What's that supposed to mean? Are they saying that being girly or feminine automatically makes you weak?! Damn feminists.

Then Ibiki continued "As you wish, the first part of the selection exam is about to commence. Turn in your written applications, take one of these seating assignment cards.." he holds up a metal with the number one and says "and report directly to to the seat indicated. When everyone's seated, we'll pass out the written part of the test."

When Ibiki finished naruto absolutely freaked, I covered my ears at how loud he is. We all grab out numbers after handing in our forms and then go to sit down.

Gaara is behind me, and I notice that Hinata who I ship with naruto are seated next to each other, Sakura is 2 rows behind a couple seat to the left of Naruto. Then Ibiki started writing something in the blackboard and said "Rule number one! Each one of you starts out here with ten points. The rest has ten questions, each worth one point, for each question answered wrong, we subtract a point from you. Get all ten right, then you retain the ten points you have."

He finished writing and continued speaking "but if, for example, you answer tree questions incorrectly, we take your ten points, subtract 1 point for every wrong answer, and then your total drops down to seven. Rule number 2, this written test is still a team event. Passing or failing will be determined by the sum of the points held by all three members of each cell(team). The object is for each team to have as few deductions as possible from its joint thirty-point total."

Sakura asks a question a I suppress a sigh of annoyance, and lucky for me Ibiki continues "This next bit is a bit crucial.. rule number 3, if, during the course of the exam, a candidate does anything out of the ordinary... in other words, anything that leads to proctors to determine that he or she has cheated... we subtract two points from each member of the cheaters team." Sakura makes an audible Oh! Sound and Ibiki continued.

"Exactly! In all probability, some of you will run through your entire allowance of points during the test, if so, you'll be failed and asked to leave." Then one of the guards I remember sleeping at the gates say "I'll be looking over your shoulders when you least expect it." Mm, creepy much.

Ibiki then continues "If you let the proctors catch you cheating, you'll bring yourself and your friends down! If you aspire to become Chunin.. if you want to be the best shinobi you can be.. then you'd better start acting like you already are!" There's a little bit of a heavy silence that I don't mind and then Ibiki continues.

"One more thing... if any individual loses all ten of his or her points, that persons entire cell(team), regardless of how the other two members do.. will be disqualified!!" Lol, I have no other teammates, I'm fine.

And then finally he says "You have one hour... starting... Now!!!" I look at the first question and it says 'Question 1, decode the following cipher and summarize its meaning.' I quickly decoded it and summarized it's meaning, then I noticed an eye made of sand next to me, I exposed my answer to the air while pretending I was thinking, I could sense that the chakra was gaara's I'm interested in him, so I need him to pass.

Then I look at question number 2 and read through it in a couple seconds, it reads 'Question 2, the parabola marked B represents the greatest effective distance the enemy shinobi, A, could throw a shuriken Star from the top of a 23.3 foot tall tree, calculate the specific features of the scenario and deduce the range of the shuriken's effectiveness, assuming a consistent speed for shinobi A's assault upon any enemy shinobi operating within the arc that the flight of the shuriken describes, show your work.'

Oh now I get it, we're supposed to cheat, too bad, I know the answer, I show my working out and then right the answer in clearer writing and once again pretend to be thinking as I let the sand eye view my work.

As I did the other questions I continued to fill out the questions incredibly fast and finished within 18 minutes, I spent 2 minutes on each question, I can't do question 10 since that question is to be given by Ibiki.

I wait patiently while everyone else stresses cheat and etc, I didn't really care, these questions were easy once you knew the method to work them out. Finally everyone finished after an hour! A few were out and failed because they were caught five times cheating.

Finally Ibiki says "All right! Here it comes. Get ready for the tenth question. And before we get to the question itself... I'm adding one more new rule." Everyone looks panicky, I silently sigh cold air and await his next words.

Kankuro returns from as Ibiki put it 'playing with dolls' the examiner is a puppet I can tell. Ibiki then says "Let me explain, this rule... is absolute." I push back my annoyance at his slow explanation.. arghh.

He continues and says "First.. you must choose... weather to accept or reject this tenth question!" Temari shouts her question and I swear I'm getting a headache.

Ibiki then answers her question "If you reject the question and don't try to answer it, you'll loose all your points immediately... and fail! And both of your teammates will fail right along with you." After he said that people started shouting, then he said "Because.. of the other rule. If you try to answer the question and you get it wrong... you will never be permitted to apply for the Chunin exams again. Not ever."

I noticed Naruto's shocked or fearful expression and new he would be shouting at some point. I noticed all of my same age companions other than gaara were nervous for some reason.. damn, if I had a team maybe I would be nervous too..

Then Ibiki said "Ready!? Than let's begin!"
