The house from the Fog

It was about 7:00PM when I  left mine, I was running a bit late but managed to make it only ten minutes late. I entered the harvester and walked into the bar area where everyone had been waiting for me.

“Ah here you are I was getting worried.” Troy patted me on the arm and handed me a pint of cider.

“It might not be as cold now.” He added.

“Cheers, and yes I know sorry I’m a bit late.” I replied.

I could see Toni speaking to David, they used to date back in school and I through about going over to speak to them but I still felt awkward about what happened at the park.

Once she went to speak to someone else I went over to David.

“Hey David, how’s things?” I asked him

He smiled when he saw me.

“Ah Paul, yes not bad mate can’t complain. What have you been up to?” He replied.

I spoke with David for a while before moving on to my other school friend. I ended up getting a few kiss from some of the girls so the night was going well. We hadn’t gone over to our tables as we were waiting on Richard but he still hadn’t arrive by 8 so we all sat down and enjoyed are meal before getting back to drinking and talking in the bar.

After a few hours everyone said goodbye and they left. Me, Troy, Toni, Clive, Shane and Ethan stay a bit longer before we left as well. As we got outside and began to walk home, someone called our name.

“Hey wait up!”

We turned to see Richard running over to us.

“Where the hell have you been?” Toni shouted at him

“Sorry I got into a fight with next door.” He said panting.

After we had a go at Richard we continued walking home.

As we walked I had a strange feeling that something was about to happen, so I kept my guard up just in case.

“Can’t believe you missed the meal.” Troy said to Richard shaking his head

“Well it wasn’t my fault that next door is an asshole is it.” Richard snapped back

Toni signed and started to talk to me.

“About what happened in the park...” She began to say before interrupted her.

“I know, I’m not sure what came over me. I shouldn’t have grabbed your ass in the first place, to be honest i do like you a lot but i know that you most likely don’t feel the same.” I told her

“I know, but i didn’t help as i was flirting with you so be are both to blame. And about not feeling the same it not that I don’t like you but I’m still kind of in a relationship we are just on a break. We are very rocky at the moment but i still care about it him.” She said softly

Her face dropped into confusing and sadness and i knew that she had feelings for me and seeing me again while she is having problems with her boyfriend was conflicting with her feelings for him. I could see if i asked her she would most likely dump her boyfriend for me but i wasn’t like that so i decided not to pursue it.
