"I don't understand" I confess to Mathew shaking my head.
"Neither do I" Ben says looking at Mathew confusedly.
Shortly after Mathew had brought us into his office he played a disc for us to watch. Ninety-nine of which makes no sense to me.
"That's expected. You asked of the meaning of DR Troops, we'll that's it. When I wanted to form this organization you are seeing today, I saw a vision. That vision is what is represented in the short film you just watched." he explained
"Okay, can you enlighten us. Cause I don't see how that explains anything." Ben says dryly.
"You see, this physical world you see is controlled by the spiritual. Nothing ever happens here without mandate from there." he explains further.
Ben and I look at him incredulously
"What the hell are you saying." Ben laughs and if not because of all Mum told me I would have probably been laughing too.
I nudge Ben to tone it down.  "What? Are you seriously expecting me to listen to that and not laugh." he defends.
I look at Mathew apologetically, he just sits there indifferent. "Please ignore him, but to be honest nothing you are saying makes sense to me."
He sigh and closes his eyes for a moment. I see his lips moving but I can't make out what he is saying, it's almost as if he isn't talking at all. Ben and I look at him confusedly.
"Let me recount the story for you." Ben groans at this, slumping in his seat.
"In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve and gave them Dominion over all things. That Dominion power was handed to the animals through the plot of the Devil which they fell prey for. Times where men are recorded to have worshiped calves, and various other animals were just manifestation of the Dominion they now had over us." he pauses as if giving us time to process all he has said.
I stare at him blankly, Ben on the other hand looks bored out of his mind. "Cool story." he remarks sarcastically.
"Just listen, " Mathew continues "When Jesus came, he sacrificed himself for the cause of man one of which was to restore this Dominion power to man. Sadly, many are still deceived and don't know how to exercise this power, this is what the enemy is taking advantage of." he finishes.
"You mean the the animals" I look at him questioningly
"How ridiculous is that!?" Ben bursts out laughing and I actually find it amusing this time. I am controlling myself not to laugh but I can't help the amusing smile plastered on my face.
Mathew sighs and I can tell he is getting frustrated. "I used Animals in the film to fictionalize the Devil and his agents not that, that how it is literally. The main thing is, that was the vision I had on which this organization was built. We seek to enforce the Dominion God has given in every way possible within our sphere of influence, helping people exercise their Dominion power abundantly and mist importantly to the edification of God's Kingdom. "
"I don't see what you mean. This organization only publishes Christian books, write-up's, host shows and event like that and produces films." I say
"Have you read any of our books?" he asks.
I shake my head, "No."
"Have you watched any of our films?" he asks again
"No " I repeat, wondering where this is going.
"Have you attended any of our shows or events?"
"We are not Christians!" Ben snaps suddenly.
Mathew looks at him unaffected by his outburst. He leans into his chair looking relaxed, "I know."
"What do you mean you know?" I ask him confused.
"I knew from the very start you both are not Christians. I picked it in my spirit once I saw you and from the conversation we've had so far, it's obvious."
I don't know how to respond to that, I feel like a dear caught in the headlights. I look to Ben to find him glaring at Mathew. None of us say anything to rebut what Mathew said. Normally, I don't care anyone knowing I am an atheist. I am always ready to defend my stand but hearing it from Mathew even though he didn't directly say anything makes me feel discomfort.
Mathew leans forward on his desk, "My question is why did you choose to come here then? If it's for the reason I assume I suggest you keep an open-mind and carefully make your decision at the end of the day."
His words play on repeat in my head and I know he is right. I can tell from the look on Ben's face that his words strikes him too.
"I would love to have you here in my office but I am sure your mates are getting ready for their second activity for the day. I will arrange for you both to be given a personal tour of this place since you couldn't join your colleagues to do so." Mathew informs us back to his business tone.
"Thanks, that is well appreciated." I smile.
He nods placing a call on his office line. "Send a security up." he instructs the person on the line.
In normal case I will feel we were being kicked out but I am sure that's not the case. We sit in comfortable silence till a knock is heard on the door.
"Come in" Mathew says.
A man fully dressed in uniform which I can tell is the security Mathew had sent for, walks in. "I was sent for Sir." he says.
"Please help escort them to where their fellow mates are. I don't want them missing their way".
