I get on the bus a stop away from the school. Every single seat was taken, except one. A short girl was sitting down alone. Her hair was long and had a slight curl but it was the darkest colour of brown I had ever seen, not black just very dark brown but the way it shined in the afternoon sun was beautiful, it hung around her nicely sculpted face, well I think it was nicely sculptered, her head was tilted down enough so her fringe covered most of her face. She had black skinny jeans covered in rips, the contrast to her pale skin was beautiful. She had a big aviator jacket with dark brown cuffs. The jacket was zipped up. She also had a couple of piercings, on both of her ears she had 3 on the lobe and, on the left, 2 on the helix. And a little stud on her nose, barely noticeable but there. Wait....I remember those earring I had bought it for one of my old close friends 2 years ago. (Hi, it's me. Just wanted to apologise for how horrible and cheesy that sounded) Oh gods, it was Nico, she had been my best friend since we were baby's and then one day we just drifted apart. She had always been extremely pretty, but now she was beautiful. Since I was really young I had always kinda liked her but never really addressed it, until now.

I sat down lightly, making sure not to wake her. That's when I noticed something else. She had bags under her eyes that were so dark it looked like a shadow itself she obviously hadn't slept for a while, well that's from a trainee doctor.

A few people at the back of the bus snickered. I had been staring for a while now, it must have been getting creepy from the point of other people.

20 minutes later
The brakes of the bus screeched, causing the bus to lurch forward. I barely moved, but Nico wasn't as lucky. She face planted into the seat in front of her. She yelped and groaned. She reached out to my leg, obviously not knowing I was there. She placed her hand on my leg and suddenly pulled back, the blood rose to my cheeks. Hopefully not noticeable. She scrambled back hit the window behind her. Yelling apologises. She had obviously been working on hiding her strong Italian accent, for some reason people had bullied her for it but I always thought it was cute. (Again I'm sorry) She looked like a scared animal. Her eyes were dark brown lighter than her hair but still dark. I noticed them flicking from all over the bus finally coming back to me she looked at me, almost like she was observing if I was about to slap her across the face. I slight blush formed against her pale cheeks. She apologised once again, explaining herself. I told her not to worry, she just nodded awkwardly and quickly slouched into her seat looking out the window, nothing in particular catching her eye. I coughed slightly to get her attention. She looked back, her face emotionless. Ever since we stopped hanging out she kinda stopped interacting all together. No one ever saw her smile, not even when people flirted with her.
