My first day at Pathstone Middle School wasn't like how I thought it was going to be. I had seen a lot of movies about new girls, they become popular, get any boy they want, then they turn around and be come a complete bitch to everyone. I didn't want that to happen to me. I was more hoping to at least catch feelings for a guy within the first few weeks, but that didn't happen either. I was really surprised when I first met all the teachers and classmates. They were all really nice, which was weird to me, but i got use to it. Everyone at my old school had a bitch side, but i didn't see that here.

During my first hour, which was math, I sat by two girls. I didn't know they were both popular until lunch. The table that I was sitting at was right in the middle of the classroom, so it was easy for me to see everyone else. Their were these two other girls that looked a lot different compare to the two popular girls I was sitting by. One of these girls looked kind of emo. She was wearing all black clothes and had short side swept bangs, but they weren't like mine. She looked like one of those people you didn't want to mess around with. The other girl dressed like how my artsy sister would dress, which was a t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

During lunch, I sat by the popular girls from my first hour. They seemed nice and friendly, which was good for me being a new girl and all. The emo girl and her friend sat at a small table. It was just the two of them, which didn't bug me as much as I thought it would have.

After about a month of sitting with the populars, I knew that wasn't the right friend group for me. So in English class, the classroom was split into the populars and not populars. The small not popular group reminded me a lot like my old friends back at my old school. So I joined their group they questioned me at first, but finally got use to me. The emo girl and her friend were in that small group. It wasn't a large group of friends, which I loved, but it was enough people that I wouldn't get bored from being around.

The emo girl's name was Shawn and her friend's name was Mia. Shawn reminded me of one of my old friend back home. They both loved wearing black, which was their favorite color, and looked like they could have been goth. Mia loved horror movies and her favorite ones where Freddy and Jason. Shawn and I were about the same height, while Mia was only 5'0.
